You have problems getting your roots to grow in DWC? Is there something wrong like pythium or it's too hot? I suppose you could use IAA, NAA or IBA if you really feel the need.Hey everyone,
Which synthetic (liquid) root-booster product/supplement can I use in a sterile DWC?
Most liquid root boosters (like "Roots Excelurator", "Pro Roots", "White Shark", "RapidStart", and more) contain various kinds of beneficial bacteria or fungi, and can't be used together with H2O2.
The climate where I live is quite hot from May To Nov, and even though my setup includes a decent water-chiller and an AC, I plan to treat with a daily dosage of H202 (or Sodium Hypochlorite every 3rd day) right from the start and into most stages of the growth cycle.
I'll be using GHE's Flora Gro/Micro/Bloom + Diamond Nectar for veg.
Thanks!
Yep, It'll be my 3rd round of DWC - the first two didn't go well due to root rot.You have problems getting your roots to grow in DWC? Is there something wrong like pythium or it's too hot?
Interesting. I wasn't familiar with Auxins and their wide usage in rooting products up until now. From what I'm reading, pure auxins are scary-potent stuff but require serious experimentation to get good results without killing your plants.I suppose you could use IAA, NAA or IBA if you really feel the need
That's very good to know, thank you. I loved that Diamond Nectar had Fulvic acid that nicely locked the water pH levels, but I suppose I should find an alternative source for that now. Also, Diamond Nectar isn't compatible with H2O2 or hypochlorous acid. You will get biofilm.
Hygrozyme is ok with the standard dosing of h202 but like you I stick to products with the bacteria bacillus amyloliquefaciens like hydrogaurd or southern AG fungicide. I also use Hygrozyme and never an issue.Tried H202 many times for pythium in my first DWC grows. The only thing that ever actually worked was Hydroguard, and have literally not had root rot once in over 10 years with it in DWC, and my res temps routinely rise over 70F and occasionally up to 75F. Please don't discount non-sterile solutions altogether :) I truly wish you the best my friend, using H202 your options are limited in regards to root growth stimulators. Enzymatic products may be an option, I can't recall if h202 destroys enzymes or not? Perhaps someone can help me out here
Thanks, I'll look into it! Do you know about any articles, forums, or grow-journals that specifically cover IBA in Cannabis cultivation?IBA is the way to go, you would need the salt version that is water soluble. The powder people use for clones is insoluble.

Appreciate the lead man. I'll look into it.Is CX regen-a-root still a thing? I knew people who ran that in aero/dwc

@BillFarthing so I seem to have a film and was curious . I used the gh micro grow bloom + calmag by gh + silica by boticare +hydro guard + rapid root by gh . Any of these counter react or anything like that . I don’t have root issue just the filmYou have problems getting your roots to grow in DWC? Is there something wrong like pythium or it's too hot?
