Hey fellow farmers! I got a question? I see a lot of folks on here taking pics of there flowering plants with the lights off so the pics come out better. Which, obviously will allow light to hit your plants. Is this a safe practice? I know light leaks can cause hermaphrodites. But is it ok to just open it long enough to snap a pic with out any worries?

No worries at all! Take those pics! I have had some pretty bad light leaks over the years that never caused hermies. Its still good procedure to seal rooms up well but unless your timers are off and turning on during dark time or you have a window leaking direct sunlight i wouldnt worry. Personally i am a firm believer hermies are caused by poor genetics more than anything.

Thanks for the input @HydroGuy

Most people take the snaps moments before or after lights turn on or off. That way the extra light won't matter.

Now using the flash in the middle of their night period may bother them a little.
