Here is the whole story so you know! Last year I won at auction StrawMix and StarDawg. Eventually I opened a pack of JJ's StarDawg and cracked 6 beans. At the very same time I also popped 7 beans from OGRaskal, his StrawberryMix from last summer on the farm. Out of the 13 total plants 11 turned out to be female and only 2 were male. One male was StarDawg and one was StrawMix(I believe an Alien mix). I destroyed the StrawMix male on the spot. I allowed the one StarDawg male to live.

I took pollen from the one male and polinated the other StarDawg phenos and the StrawMix plants. The StarDawg phenos were all different. Some matured a little faster, one had more stretch, and of course that one turned out to be a resin bomb. Two were much more resinencrusted than the others, although they were all chemmy dank goodness.

What I labeled the number three Strawberry mix pheno turned out to be my favorite of the Straw Mix plants. I posted a picture of a huge bud in my straw mix hydro blast thread and also in a couple of other threads. In fact its the biggest OGRaskal bud Ive seen posted online on the farm. The picture is on page 2 of my hydro thread if you care to look. That plant is called "the tarantula" by my partner and I believe its KKSC crossed to an Alien Kush male.

This "tarantula" for me, was by far the best pheno of all the straw mix plants and I liked it much more than the straw bubba, based on its structure and amazing yield. The plant had a huge yield, huge colas! I crossed the stardawg male to this plant right away. Those seeds are labeled Tarantula x StarDawg or TarDawg and are fat, huge, viable seeds. Ive poped only 5 and they are the most vigorous plants I have going. They are very Mg hungry and it appears that the male is very dominate with the offspring I have seen so far, but who knows.

The plant was so resiny that it made crunching sounds after it dried. The cure left amazing buds with stunning color and crystals. I found the smoke to be smooth and tasty with decent enough potency. The yield was very, very, high. Like commercial yields......headstash smoke

I can say StarDawg is a stronger smoke, more of a headpunch high then the Strawberry Cough x Alien. Thats not to say that the StrawAlien isnt strong, because it is, I just have a crazy tolerance living here in Cali for so many years now.

I fell in love with the structure of the Tarantula! It really one of the strongest plants ive seen in awhile. The fact that it could grow and yield such massive buds, while maintaining the branch strength to support such great weight is just amazing. I loved the frost and crunchy resins!

The StarDawg male was then destroyed. I took no pictures of the male and saved no extra pollen. My partner didnt want me to seed the whole room by mistake with my pollen fun. Nothing is known about the males progeny as we are now growing them out. My pollen experiments were frowned upon, however I did some good work with that male.

I have a mother plant of the tarantula itself that is proved very hard for me to clone at first. I have clones in both rockwool and in a aero-mistcloner. We will see what happens, but they all have rooted and are doing ok.

Let me know if you have any questions. Here are pictures of OGRaskals Straw Alien (The Tarantula pheno) x JJ's StarDawg......TarDawg....a pollen chuck creation....

Seeds were soaked on June 19th.

This was my attempt to bring JJ and TopDawg Together with OGRaskal in a poly-hybrid bastard cross...

Congrats on becoming a father to those beautiful tarantula babies.

Glad to see everything came out smoothly and that you were able to sprout some of those bad boys.

Goes to disprove your partner, pollen chucking does pay off.....sometimes..:icon_animal26:

Thanks!

Here is a picture of the TarDawg seeds compared to some seeds of JJ's StarDawg......

The TarDawg seeds are very large! Giant seeds. The plants appear to have good growth patterns so far that have been grown from the seeds.

Ill post pictures of both the mom and bud shots from the mom of these seeds as well later on today.

Also, just to let you guys know I just mailed some of the TarDawg seeds into Logic for his charity auction. There will be a few packs up for any interested farmers. I think they are worth $50 bucks for sure to take a chance on!

We will see what happens, this is a serious poly hybrid as I mentioned earlier so it could grow sideways for all I know and start throwing nanners.....

Here are pictures of the Tarantula mom as a baby!

Once again this is KKSC x Alien Kush seeds by OGRaskal.....

We called it Tarantula based on its spidery shape.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I love the support and its really appreciated!

This is just pollen chucking at its best or worst, who knows, growing out the beans is fun..

I just chucked a little JJ on a little Raskal.

Everything I grow is just for fun (as long as I can pay the freaking power bill, that shit is no joke and we dont laugh or kid around about that shit at all, except for right now maybe, but yea power bills can seriously suck it one time), and these seeds are no exception, grown just for the fun of it! Im just glad that I can grow out the work of JJ and Raskal and OBS and many unknown men and women and let things and just happen in the grow room. These guys make it easy! I cant compliment or give those dudes enough props.

Great seeds and genetics combined with learning from such a great and tremendous resource as the farm helps to make my endeavours all the more obtainable.

One last thing to tell you all...every few months I write down a list of what both my short term and long term goals are for growing cannabis. What I have always listed #1 on both lists was "to have fun growing"....I hope you all do the same. If its not fun....take a break....make it fun again.....when its a choir time to change something....

By the way "Growing healthy cannabis" is #2 always on my list of both short term and long term growing goals.......

I appreciate your candidness and honesty SB. Its refreshing to see an individual like yourself who is already a excellent grower still sticking to his roots and maintaining a level humble mind state.

Personally I can agree with the huge benefit that The Farm is. The vast wealth of knowledge and the sheer number of ppl passing around that superb knowledge is outstanding.

The cooperation and camaraderie exhibited on this website should be the blueprint for equal and fair treatment in society amongst humanity... but thats just my opinion.

I can personally thank you for helping to guide me on my road to knowledge and understanding regarding the cultivation of this wonderful plant.

As always keep up the work and keep posting.

This is what the Tarantula pheno looked like early in flower.......

The structure was really starting to stand out and this plant was far more impressive than any other lady in the garden. This doesnt mean jack, however, when every factor is to be considered in the final overall equation of producing fine herb. I was having trouble getting the clones that I took of this pheno to root and I knew at this point I better get some of that male starDawg pollen onto this plant to make some seeds. It was starting to look like this plant from Raskal, Kyle and Obs was going to be good!
