It's teflon. Slickest material on the market. Nothing sticks to it. Should work well if you ask me. Never used it but it is teflon so i can only imagine it would work very well. Should be able to get every last bit of wax off the paper. Is a roll of it expensive? I wonder if any farmers have used the teflon slicksheets. I guess we'll have to wait and see

PTFE is rated as excellent against non polar solvents like butane or hexane. http://www.coleparmer.com/Chemical-Resistance

Local headshops sell teflon mats that look just like that^ ; that are made for blastin into, the small one sells for 10 and a big one for 20. i'm sure you could find it alot cheaper, they work really well, even better then the silicone ones.

is the the slick sheet from oil slick or just a simple ptfe teflon sheet? they sell ptfe for 7-20$ on ebay for a good size piece and wonder if it would suffice since there teflon is good with non polar solvents.

Way better then silicon pads (aren't safe but popular) silicon is great for finished product but not resistant to butane
