How do you make Roots Organics Terp Tea for 2 plants (each in 5 gallons of soil)?

I’ve got the Roots Organics dry nutrient mix, 5 gallon bucket, and aeration system. The grow shop recommended bud candy to feed the bacteria sugar.

The Roots Organics directions say to mix in 1 teaspoon of dry nutrients for every gallon of water, then aerate for 18-24 hours.
When do I add the Bud Candy? The guy at grow shop said it feeds the bacteria. Is it added to the soil or to the terp tea?

I use unsulfered black strap molasses. Put it and the terp tea in the bottom of the gallon jug, add barely warm water and mix it good then aerate for 24ish hrs. You can use bud candy if you want but it is an expensive way to add sugar to it

Thank you, I will do this. Do I need a o dechlorinate the water first?

You can aerate terp tea but you dont have to. You can just mix with water give it to your plants. If you want to add thr bud candy you came but the microbes will find plenty of food in the soil

I grew my first plants using the dry roots organic nutes - just mixed them into the soil. My plants were really lovely. This time I was just wanting to try it a new way and see if it made any difference. Some people think the aeration makes the microbes more active (or something?) and this is supposed to make a difference in how things grow. I’m just trying it this way as my own little experiment.
