Thai stick

A mate had some of this tonight - didn't get a chance to try it. Apparently proper thai, imported. Two types, red string and green string, both different types. I've not heard of thai stick for YEARS. Anyone else seen this around?

DAMN!!! 12 or 13 you were already growing. I never even made an attempt (all failed) until I was 15 or 16.

Hey FF what are the effects like. I am too young to remember any real Thai Stick, but if that is the real stuff I am intrigued to see it making a comeback. From everything I have been told, if it is the real thing you will know it right from the first hit.

Not long ago I got weed that looked exactly the same, it came from Peru and was a nice smoke.

I'd been over for the evening....smoking the MMGxG13.....on the way out, he chucks me over a lump:

Me: Right, I'd better make a move - the mrs is knackered
Him: Cool as man. Seeya Tuesday. Oh here's this (chucks me an oz)
Me: Wow man, is this thai?
Him: Yep...got it from a thai guy I know. Want an oz @ 90?
Me: No ta....gotta run....gonna grab a photo and seeya Tues

EDIT: tbh, it's just schwag tied up with string imho....it might be proper thai but it's almost certainly pretty low grade....will have a moke but I've smoked it before....it'll better than nothing but I'd prefer a LR2 over it anyday....plus I like fresh/nicely cured now...been spoiled. Also I can't/won't spend money on gear anymore - that's why I invested in my farming eq :)

there was loads of that going around my way months ago and its ment to be back again. there was about 4 dif types of it. only 1 of the types id say was good the rest were crap real seedy. was selling between £90/£110 an oz

we got loads of it in our area , red string , blue string , green , black . the clour dont mean much , just depends on the actual batch . goes for 70 to 90 an oz £1800 to 2400 on the box .

some are young buds , first harvest ...
but at the mo , they seem to be good and full matutre buds .
if you unrap the string from a whole stick , then gently pull the buds apart , you can see the whole kolas layed on top of each other , you can de twig it and get the best buds , makes a far better joint than ,ripping it apart ,
not many seeds ....

i have doubts it is full thai , may be burma . my friend is covinced it is nigerian made to look like thai ... i say its good weed and very much thai like ,,, what ever it is

Thai weed is one of the best high imo, had some in thailand last september and you know instantly thats its the real deal, the cotton thread runs all the way through it not just on the outside. The high is a typical sativa uplifting feel with NO paranoia, really racey i loved to have some for christmas but that aint gonna happen, just the old cheese.. cant complain... I even got a few lovely spotted seeds from the draw i got in thailand but to much of a wimp to grow them out, i just dont have the space. anyone got any more pics of real thai?????????????

Herb is rarely grown in Thailand anymore. Usually grown in Laos or Cambodia and smuggled in.

no your right - thats brick weed and then they did that bullshit with the string - if it was proper thai stick it would have been tied to shiskabob type sticks with a much thinner thread...

it could be brick Thai weed - in the late 80s most of the Thai was brick weed and not the sticks...

some of it pretty good and some of it not so good.

Most is pretty bad now. Picked in Laos or Cambodia it is compressed into bricks and smuggled in. Quality is horrible IMO and very consistent throughout the country.
