The 1200 Or 1600 Q..

Hi Folks , wasup?

I'm interested with becoming an Indoor farmer, considering purchasing from the local sponsor here, Mars-Hydro, the grow tent and LED light, now the combination crossed my thoughts was 3' 11''x 3' 11''x 6' 7'' for the Grow Tent (120x120x200cm) along with the MARS II 1600W.

- Has anyone have an experience with the light which can advise any thoughts (PM r welcome as well)?
- Is the 1200W more than enough or does the 1600W important for much better harvest?
- Regarding the direct voltage - I'm a bit addled here - is it real 1600W or what? trying to figure out the deal between the HPS to LED from POV of the electricity bill ..

i have the 1600w and its not really that much wattage,it draws about 770w of power.it does run kinda hot so you will def need some good exhaust in a tent for any of these mars lights that use the 5 w diodes.there is a mars thread here,some bad customer service from what i see.kinda sounds like they like to just send you parts and you fix them yourself lol.but if i had to guess i would say the 1600w panel is good for a 4x4x6 tent.3.5x3.5 is kinda pushing it imo just from the heat standpoint.

Hey if you can afford it the Platinum LED line is pretty tits. not too high but great PAR!

Greetings, just came across your reply. I'm in the process of building a 4by4 tent. Would you suggest just the 1600 watt mars or go with (2) of the 700 watt mars ,in order to cover more space. But also to get more watts per square feet? Your help would be appreciated.

Well if you build the 4 x 4 to be 5 or 6 feet tall i would go with the 1600w panel.I think a 4 x 4 tent with good reflectivity would be perfect for the 1600

Would just the 1600 watt alone give 40 or 50 watts per square feet. Or would (2) of the 700 ?

Forgot to mention ,my plants will be grown using a scrog.

I've gotta ask regarding those Mars-Hydro and other cheap Chinese LEDs - Does it Works for growing?

R there any cheap Chinese LED users here which can be honest and spread some 'light' over this issue...

Please include which have U used (brand and Watt + size of tent/room), strain will assist as well...Ferz used - y/n...and what at the end of the day did u harvested/recived...and how was it?
