Good morning allI have 4 females from the pack of 15 and 6 males. the females, and males come in two phenos. There is a stretchy sativa leaning and a shorter internodal spaced pheno. I don't say indica leaning because that is not what it looks like at all. Of the males kept alive, ie all of them, the too show the same growth patterns. Very uniform. Very excited here!! Of special notice on the male side I have a male that is exhibiting asexual flower production. There are a number of pistils growing from the dense male flower bracts. Will definitely be using this male for the breeding of a worked Trainwreck IBL. The others will be used in some capacity. There is already a sweet citrusy/lime scent from the resinated preflowers from most of the plants male and females. What is also of interest if I buddy of mine is growing Trainwreck Bx1 from heads and will be comparing the 2 different strains and possibly using some of his males or females. We shall see. Picts coming soon!!:party0033:

Glad to hear you got those seeds going. Sounds like you got a nice selection. Good luck with them and can't wait to see some pictures. They should turn out pretty well. The only things I would look out for. Is the tall Thai pheno's and the viney e-32 pheno. These are ones that will need some help. You should do well with them.

Glad to hear the smell is coming through. Once I do the 2BX. They should really look and appear more like the mother e-32. I'm doing the same thing Head did. Using the OE and then BXing to the mother. These seeds should be very close. It will just all depend on his pheno and mine, but they should be close.

Keep us up to date and good luck.
Take care,
BG

I'd like to know also. Is that from my seeds or the e-32?
Later,

Home, your plants look great! mine almost have a aversion to nitrogen, yours looks like they take alittle more nutes. i didn't get a great yield off mine, but what i did get was absolutely sizzling...i did a bx1 of a couple branches on the one in the pic.. with a nice male i had. the biggest thing with these that i have found is that the cuts MUST be grown from a mature plant, otherwise the results will be less than desirable. well good luck and hey to u too billy! if i can help or answer anything give me a shout..later

A little photo update...

Of the 4 females they are almost identical in growth resin production and flower size/formation. One, A11 was fairly branchy in veg, all athers were very columnar. However within a week of flower they had all exploded in every direction. Very cool. Here are some picts for y'all Keep in mind this is just under 4 weeks. within the last week the flowers have swelled considerably.

They sure do look good. Thanks for sharing the pictures and info. I'm really looking forward to make the BX2 seeds. It's going to really get them very close. Glad to hear you got some nice pheno's in the bunch. From the looks of things. Your going to be enjoying them in a few weeks. Thanks again
Take care,

Ya, the smell is great. I got a e-32 seeded up now and she's smelling great. I'll always keep the e-32 around. She's a winner.

The Bx1's smell of lemon-lime turpentine, maybe glue. Something very astringent about it. Can't wait. about 2.5- 3 weeks left i think. making them around 9 weeks flower Having some calcium issues it looks like, but not sure as I fed them with cal-mag and it got worse. Been flushing them for a few waterings. Hopefully will clear up. Thanks for hte words all.

Peace

THe first has been culled with what looks like a very nice yield. Oh that smell and gland production. One thing I will say is that 2 of the 4 females did produce stamenate flowers late into flower. around week 7-8. Though they appear to be without pollen. I will only use the non asexual plants in the crosses to come. Thanks so much much BG for your hard work to bring us these great and stable genetics.

Just as a side note. These plants are very uniform. Only the next cross will show their true genetic variation. we shall see. Doubt there will be much

Thanks for viewing everybody.

Peace

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear your doing your thing. I'm thinking the next batch of seeds I release will be in point. I've got some plants I've found in the seeds I grew out and they look good. I think everyone will be more then happy with the BX2 Arcata Wreck seeds I put out.

You've made some good points and glad to see your grow doing well. Trainwreck is a special plant and will have a home in my garden for a long time. As for pollen sacks. I haven't seen any myself, but I will keep an eye for them. Will see how the BX2 seeds goes, but they should be fine.

Glad to hear you got some nice plants. Thanks for the shared info.
Take care,
BG

Yes, these will be back here at the Farm after the holidays. I've had three deaths in my family and been a little stressed out. Plus, with work and all. I'm also waiting on a anti-crush proof case. I should have more to Logic right after the holidays. Best I can do.
Take care,
BG

So I have had 3 males in a perpetual veg state for the last 4+ months. They are all showing hermaphrodite traits. ANd I have collected 2 seeds off 2 of them. THe 3rd which was extremely vigorous and kept soully for that purpose is now showing the same traits, very resinous aromatic and seeded pistillate flowers to boot! Has anyone else found this trait in their Trainwreck Bx 1 seeds? Every male i have of this strain has done this.

Dj short state this is a very rare and desirable trait, pushing a high true female ratio in its progeny.

Peace

So, your saying your males went from males over to producing female pistils? If so, this is a first for me. I'd like to her more about your setup and how your keeping them. Just trying to get an idea on how they are being kept and all. I've got a bunch of the BX1 seeds to make more and to move forward with the BX2. When time is right, but I'm open to all reports. Even if they aren't good. I like to know about any issues. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Never hear DJ say that, but I'll have to see if it's in his book. I've got a copy and will see if this is in there. Thanks again for sharing the info.
Take care,
BG

PS, pictures would be nice also.
