Starting to wonder if anyone else goes to shows or just talks about it... Anyway Hank III October 6 at the Ogden. If you never caught a Hank show, you're fucking up!

Too on point to let it just go,......I have actually been on a "no shows for you" hiatus for most of the year excepting Phish, Furthur, Phil and friends, ( P~Funk not making the list is more a function of losing my FUNKADELIC HOMIE 'Hogiskeik' than anything economic ) i gotta get the duckets in the buckets before i let it flow like i usually do.

Hank III is a magical piece of work, and something to be appreciated and seen for sure, my modern day 'David Allan Coe' if you know what i mean,.............

This summer I missed; NIN, Queens of the Stone Age, Wolfmother and Dax Riggs(Dead Boy). I was really bummed yet I wasn't feeling anywhere near my best the last few months. I had my seizure meds "adjusted" in april after a break thru and it fucked my world up. They changed it back and I feel pretty good today with only a week into new near paleo diet, start crossfit again today also. But I love going to live shows, music is one of the greatest things in my life.

Ya I been slacking this year. Went to probably 1/4 of the Red Rocks shows i did last year (both busy and think its ridiculous what they tax). Been even less normal shows because several of the venues cracked down on weed smoking (fuck that). Went to several shows outta town this year though, Roots in LV was best.

Speaking of Hank III, ran into him vegas several years back just leaving a show bodyguards in tow and beautiful young blonde in each arm...still had to time to give us dap. Good guy in my book lol.

Sounds about right ;) Crazed country pimp. i concur, they charge too much, but if its gonna be a sell out ill cop an extra to lower my price. i dont gouge, but shit, scalping is legal here...so if i can see a show for a little less, no harm. Went to cup last year and saw Slightly Stoopid for $10 outta pocket. Not a bad 4/20 ;)

Frankly I just think the surcharges are getting outta control. If the ticket is gonna cost $50-55 just say that. Don't say $35 and then tax $20 fees. And not allow outlets to sell red rocks tickets. Guess my lack of shows has been a combo principle issue and having seen errbody 3-4x already and most not putting out any better music.

The random shows have been the good ones this year for me

I hear you on the fees and the bands, but what I REALLY want to know is when the fuck TOOL is coming back to RR? Never had the chance to see em there. And new, old, whatever..they are timeless and always incredible!

Flux at RR was a good show...
Just cold...Really, really cold...When the bass stopped, you got really cold.

And as much as I love ThreeSixMafia, Juicy J is like any other rapper...Give them an hour set, and they are stalling 30min into it (out of material, time to get drunk)...Cool idea, but would've rather had another EDM artist...Most my friends were wondering WTF when he came on.

I got kicked out of 1up friday for smoking a bowl right before Qbert came on. I guess the security guard was standing right behind me and I forgot to look. Oh well. Ive seen Qbert 20 times, love the scratching. Jeremy Ellis' Jdilla routine was dope. I think I will try and catch flying lotus in november and maybe Michael Menert Big Band at the filmore. On the underground tip you guys should check out Felix Fast4ward. Hes my favorite musician in denver, he does live multi instrument loop routines and makes sick beats.
