Love your new set up! Almost like mineHad a little delay with getting the blumat system going. I'm now running a gravity system instead of pressurized.
Got the main plumbing ran. Calibrated the caps and watered the pots last night. Pots should be close to field capacity tonight when the carrots and drip rings get installed. I went with a manifold setup and added a chimney for air to escape. That's the tube running up the back tent pole. Also added a purge valve.

My spider farmer controller isn't smart enough to run the 9/3 schedule so 18/6 it is. Got all the parameters set and fired the tent up. Soil was only 66f when I first placed the probe which was a little shocking. This morning it was up to 73f.

I've also had to reconsider my strain selection due to adding 3 more pots. Switched to shorter bushier strains so I can get in the tent for maintenance.
Fastbuds- white widow, blueberry, strawberry pie, wedding glue
Mephisto- grape walker kush, gold glue, toofless alien, mbap
Dutch passion- strawberry soda
I'm guessing it's an in-floor (or in this case, on-floor) heating system, but I could be wrong. I use them a lot when installing tile floors in bathrooms.whats that yellow tread on the bottom?
They are 5gal pots. The plan is light lst and defoliation. I did some research and they should all be short and bushy type structure.Love your new set up! Almost like minejust with some small differences, you're in a 5x5, cloth pots with soil and drip sys
Me in a 3x3, air pots with Coco and by hand
How much fit in your pots?
Terpy strain pick, awesome! Hopefully the heights will be on a same level, will you top or just do a little lst?
That is the heating cord. Same idea as a mat except way cheaper to cover that much space. I'm using a vivosun soil temp controller to keep the root zone between 73-75f.whats that yellow tread on the bottom?
My phone recognizes soul as a miss spelled word and corrects it to soil.Keeping the soul temp from dipping at lights off everyday......priceless
Soil. Soul. Same thing in organic grows.Almost everytime on my phone!!
Even during lights on. I had the soil cooking in totes at 75f air temp for 2 weeks. Then the soil sat in the pots for 48hrs with the tent running and a 18/6 schedule. When I probed the soil it was only at 66f.Keeping the soul temp from dipping at lights off everyday......priceless
how does it work never used one? can it go underwater? price range? That is the heating cord. Same idea as a mat except way cheaper to cover that much space. I'm using a vivosun soil temp controller to keep the root zone between 73-75f.
Its just a plug with a loop of wire and there is some kind of connection in the loop that keeps it from frying itself and melting. The product claims it maintains a safe 130f but I paired it with the soil temp controller for more accurate temps. Its insulated so getting a little water on the cords isnt a problem but its not meant for water. Heres the one I got.how does it work never used one? can it go underwater? price range?
Hey Gas! : ) this might not apply to you but hear me out as it made a huge difference for cold surface when i doing clones on my countertop with the tote aero jobby. The foam mat pieces for “home gyms” or whatever, I only needed one piece for the area of my cloner but it made the absolute difference. Might be something to look into. maybe slide something under one side of the tent with one or two pots over it just to test it out? : )Even during lights on. Hello bear. Its pretty hard to see but each row of pots also has some insulation strips under them. Its basically bubble wrap sandwiched between that reflective film stuff. Great advice tho!Hey Gas! : ) this might not apply to you but hear me out as it made a huge difference for cold surface when i doing clones on my countertop with the tote aero jobby. Im over here looking at cranking the ac on!
yeah i missed those lol. I should note that i was using a heat mat for seedlings! I forgot to mention that part. It went, tile countertop, heat mat, then tote with water in it. The fix was tile counter top then foam, heat mat, tote. But without the foam there, the mat didnt work at all to warm the water.Hello bear.
