Some learning there. Figuring out how the rockwool and soil interacts. After that I think its going to be a solid strategy. Good luck!!!Im getting ready to start some seeds in tiny rockwool cubes. Then im tossing those into a promix like mix in solos! Wish me luck! Hahaha
Same to me used it in the past but the last two runs with synthetic I didn't.Im a believer. I hit them with some recharge for all the beneficials too. Just wanted to give that tap and root system an early boost.
Yes I like to float my seeds in ro water until they have a tap or at least 36hrs. Rockwool is alkaline at 7-8 so its important to soak the rockwool in PHed water for a while. I usually give them a few hours minimum and I shake the water out of them at least 1 time during the middle of the soak. Dont squeeze the water out of them it permanently compresses the fibers and restricts oxygen exchange.
Im Plannung to go from rock wool to Coco coir, maybe a little better¿Dont follow my example of rockwool in soil. Ive been fighting with these kids about water since putting them in the soil. The mbap was completely limp on the ground 2 days ago. Overall the whole batch just arent off to the start I expected.
I left the top of the cubes exposed to air thinking it would help with oxygen. Turns out its wicking the moisture away from the seedlings and allowing it to evaporate. So make sure to fully bury the cubes when putting them in soil
It's not a complete waste and early in the life cycle it would still be beneficial. It becomes a waste when you're feeding so much that the plant doesn't need the help from the myco. They kinda push it to the side because they can easily get what they want from the salts. And phosphorus is bad for it. Don't go dumping it in every batch of nutes but definitely still useful.Same to me used it in the past but the last two runs with synthetic I didn't.
Probably won't in the future, because it's wasting money with synt I guess.
Only got high concentrated fulvic, root booster and liquid guano(K2) left I could use to give em an organic start which could run good with mycor.
Which fertilizer do you use to start them in rock? Or y just add water and feed them in seedling stage?
Never grown in coco but I know a little about it. I think it will be much better than soil. Moisture retention is closer between coco and rockwool than soil.Im Plannung to go from rock wool to Coco coir, maybe a little better¿
Want em covered with clays to not let some algae on it and to keep the moisture in it(don't like to weight em daily)
Good to know, thought like that as well.
Yo gas, that plant is crushing it bro! Any thoughts or conclusions yet on the constant fertigation? The cookies is getting active. Shes been killing the res. Ive done 2 full changes in the last 72hrs. The 24hrs after the change she crushes the res. Yesterday I drained and flushed the res. I mixed 5gal at 2.1ec and 5.9ph. Tonight the res is down maybe 2gal somewhere between 1-2. The ec is 1.5 and ph is 6.7. These are very similar to what she did to the previous fresh batch. These numbers tell me she is devouring the nutes and I need to increase the ec of my fresh mix.
Lights are maxed out. Plus the panels are 100w and theyre at 50%. I'll be turning them up to the next setting at 75% tomorrow morning so I can monitor the situation throughout the day. My meter is reading foot candels and converted down its 64.8 DLI from the top light. Tent is 75-77f and 55-65 rh%. Trying my best to control the environment without any equipment really. Relying on the lung room and 2 clip fans.

I think its good for "high performance" rockwool grows. The grower needs to know what theyre doing and be attentive enough to stay on top of shit. Its definitely a winner but hard to say how big of a star player it is based on this one run. I learned a lot from my previous 420scrog grows and have implemented those changes with the cookies. I have plans to play with it more down the road. I cant start another grow until this fall so it will have to wait. The hybrid rockwool/dwc effect it can create is pretty amazing and i hate it at the same time. Very much appreciate the tip my guy!!!Yo gas, that plant is crushing it bro! Pheeeew manMore trichomes. Maybe it’s a timing coincidence or I’m imagining it but since switching to the new nutes there has been a noticeable increase in coverage. Shes still 90% white pistils and hasn’t really started swelling.
