This is my first grow. I’m in Virginia and it’s humid and it has been raining often. The bugs are booming this year also. It is very hot during the day as well. My girls were doing great until they very recently when into bloom then they came down with leaf spot or thirps? Or idk what it is. I’ve also plucked some leaves off with powdery mildew. Can I spray it them with sulfer at this point. Or trifecta? I have both but I’ve used nothing on these girls. What about neem? Is it too late for that since they are flowering? I’m stumped. Any help is appreciated just please be kind to me. Thankyou guys and gals!

That's the beginning of leaf septoria. Treat it with a copper based fungicide.

But thanks, I'm totally calling thrips thirps from now on 😆
Whoops musta spelled them wrong whatever they are I don’t like them. And copper is the one I don’t have lol that my luck. I’ll buy some. And yes it started on the morning glory’s and now moved its way to 3 of my 4 plants. Heartbreaking 💔

Nice looking plant! You have done a great job so far, but it's time to make a few changes.!
I like Pro Mix Vegetable and Fruit 3-6-12 in black bottle from the local garden center. 1 Cap full once a week in watering can.
Check your PH should be as close to 6.0 as you can get.
Now the fun part. Sit down with a sharp pare of scissors and defoliate the plant, otherwise your going to end up with a lot of popcorn.
I know how hard this is the first time. I understand. Start at the bottom of the plant. Remove all buds and leaves at all nodes bellow the top or each and every stalk and sub stalk on the plant. Do not cut off the sub stalks just the buds at all nodes bellow the top cola forming on them. You can leave a few leaves if you like but remove every bud that is not the top cola of a main stalk or sub stalk. Stick it in a dark place every night like a garden shed and give it 12 hrs of darkness. Put it back out 12 hours later every day. Same time every day. This is what you will end up with in a few weeks. Every top you leave will turn into a great big sugary cola. This picture was taken a week ago, the buds are about the size of my fist and quite sugar coated.
