Has anyone ever heard of "clackamas coots" soil mix? I might try to make it for my next grow and see how it goes. Gonna use black swallow amendments if i can. Let me know what you think about this mix!

I like it! Using something else that is not blood and bone meal is always a plus for me, you never know if those animals were fed with hormones and antibiotics. Even if it says "for organic gardening" the farm doesnt have to be organic.

Well, stuck waiting outside of work, no manager showed up because theres 3 inches of snow usual for my area.

Anyways, heres some pictures of the plant from 2 days ago :) drying real slow. I clipped a little mini nuglet and smoked that, was WAY too wet so not the best lol but fuck it, just a little larfy popcorn nug from the bottom of the plant lol

Yo so i tried that moisture meter today in a few nugs, it was coming up at 0.1% moisture, but the stems still dont snap they just bend.... this is the moisture meter i got: Wood Moisture Meter, TESMEN... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLDB5B16?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Am i doing something wrong? Lol i put it on M7 and M3 (two of the only settings where itl detect the amount of moisture im looking for) and i poked both prongs all the way into the nugs that i was testing

Heres some update pictures from today for everyone i unhooked the plant from the tent and turned it around and rehooked it up, just to make sure the fans arent blowing in 1 place for too long. They shouldnt be, but im being overly cautious lol

Tuesdays probably trim weigh and bag day to start the curing process! I clipped a stem off which had a nice little nug on it, and some popcorn leading up to it. Its so gassy earthy fruity stinky sticky. Im thoroughly satisfied. Needs a tiny bit more time drying, but godamn this is some good weed!

Here it is! All trimmed and bagged now :) it felt like a really good consistency, none of the buds were crumbly but none were too wet to work with. I think i made 1 big mistake though, i dont think i gave enough phosphorus. The buds arent very dense and very leafy. Smoke is still great! Tastes good, works well, not harsh, burns to white ash. Thats all i can ask for haha :)

93 grams off this plant! Not too shabby for my first grow :) got it all curing now, but not sure how long im gonna let it do that lol

Also tossed my trim into the freezer, might cook or do something else with it, who knows lol

My soil is officially cooking as of last night :) reusing the purple cow soil using the purple cow fertilizer, biosuperchargers, and liquilife. Left some of the roots from the old plant in the soil. I figured theyl break down fast enough since i tore them all up and spread them throughout the soil. Heard the only negative from that is it might use some of the nitrogen in the soil, but im not worried about that honestly.

Anyways, should probably plant my next seed in about 2 weeks in a smaller container so i can transplant when the time comes! Il keep you all updated :) silver summit is the next plant im growing, gonna be a super citrus smelling sativa! Also learned from a mistake i made in my previous grow, i dont think i gave enough potassium for the plant to make more dense buds. The buds were pretty light and airy. Still great smoke! But not as dense and heavy as i would have liked. Probably could have eneded up with closer to 6-8oz if i did that right lol o well! Ya live and ya learn, hopefully i learned the right lesson lol

Good luck! Monitor PH as is probably one of most important aspect even though you can grow fine out of range!

This was from bag seed right? When you smoked the original stuff was it also a bit airy?

Fluffy buds usually come from too low a light energy but your lighting was right on so I think it's more genetic than anything else.

Yes sir, bag seed! But the buds from that were actually really dense.

Im kinda just assuming on the potassium part. The fertilizer i have doesnt have a ton of potassium, its a 4-6-4 blend, i think i was supposed to use that fertilizer along with the powdered biosupercharger stuff which is a 3-0-7 blend. Iv heard that potassium is good for helping the plant take in phosphorus to make the buds more dense. But it could totally be genetic as well, i feel like bag seed is ALWAYS a gamble, even if the weed in the bag is good lol but yea i gave the fertilizer without the biosupercharger as the last feeding so thats what makes me think that haha was also worried about giving more nitrogen towards the end, heard that extra nitrogen towards the end of the plants lifecycle can cause the smoke to be a little harsh

Yea im gonna try to monitor that a little bit this time around. I use distilled water and the additives i use are slightly acidic and come with microbes, so as far as i know the soil SHOULD be managing its ph on its own with the microbes, but i havent checked so all i really have to go on is how my plant turned out haha

Aaaaalllllllllllllrighty thennn!!! I planted my next seed today! Changed up the way my tent is set up and added in my new aerostream h19 humidifier and away we go!

This seed is from a plant called Silver Summit, which is a light green really citrusy dense nug sativa :) its from the same grower as my previous plant too, so im expecting this one to turn out really good as well!

Im gonna try to do a full month long timelapse, 1 picture per hour. Gonna leave the light on until the plant sprouts, then swap over to 18/6. Humidity gonna be at 60% until sprout (to save water but keep tent ready-ish for sprout), bump up to 80% and then lower slowly until VPD stabilizes at around 1.0.

Reusing my purple cow soil, which i ammended according to their recommendations, and gonna stick with distilled water without any ph ammendments. Im using a 5 gallon lowes bucket, bought brand new and drilled 4 holes at the bottom on the sides of the bucket for water drainage. Same 100W aerolight as last time. Main oscilating fan above the plant, small flutter fan for under canopy air flow. 2 drip halos, letpot drip system, 5 gallon jug as reservoir for distilled water. 2x2x4 tent with circulation system hooked up to the very top of the tent do it pumps heat effectively. Plan on only using purple cow products for this grow, MIGHT use epsom salts if needed.

Lets see if i can repeat my success! Stay tuned lol
