Good Morning Farm -

I have had some some fan leaves show some brown spots / curling on the tips that I believe was due to excess in Nitrogen. I flushed the soil and now am back to feeding them.

Curious on your thoughts on pruning off all of the dying / dead / infected fan leaves while in week 4-5 of flower. I am confident they will not bounce back, just didn't know if that could then cause other fan leaves become infected, cause buds to not produce and finish, etc.

Any thoughts / suggestions are appreciated.

One of the very helpful people here, I believe it was Aqua, stated, "as long as the leaf holds fast, it can still provide the plant some nutrients before it drops off".
I've paraphrased his statement, but I believe that is the basic thought.
If it just drops off when you touch it, pull it off, otherwise, leave it in place unless it's diseased.

That makes sense, thanks. I was going to go ahead and prune them off about a week ago for that same reason. Not pruning makes it slightly more difficult to keep up with which leaves were already browning compared to if any leaves started to brown since I caught it.

I also figured there was probably multiple different opinions and outlooks on this.

Thanks!
