Lol trippy dude id definitely still run it until you see real issues. Thats just a weird mutation lol kinda coolAfternoon guys I’m new here and after some advice please. I’ve grown before and not a complete newbie, however I’ve never seen a seedling dump its husk and reveal 3 seedling leaves. The strain is forbidden fruit (Silver leaf) I will attach a photo any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Daz.
A triploid, it may or may not work through it. Only time will tell.Afternoon guys I’m new here and after some advice please. Negative.A triploid, it may or may not work through it. Only time will tell.
Completely sterile huh? Wow.Tri-leaf is what your looking at, grow it, it should snap out of it - triploid, diploid, tetraploid describes something else entirely - Cannabis is Diploid in Nature, but Triploid is now being sold, however they are Sterile...
Negative.
Diploid and triploid refer to the sets of chromosomes a cell has.
Normal cannabis is a diploid. They are working on triploids for commercial production because with 3 sets of chromosomes, you will not get seeds no matter how hard you try. Entire fields grown outdoors without the risk of pollination. That is what Big Ag will do to cannabis.
It can get even more nefarious.
Big Ag can (and will) patent varietals, then if that male pollen gets into the wild, fertilizes your outdoor crop, they lay claim to any crosses it creates because it is a patented variety and any seeds that may or may not come from it are their property.
Has happened before in regular farming.
Panama disease. Just had to have a read learn something new everyday.Kill off genetic diversity? Yes, that's what Big Ag will do. I've heard a single viral infection can wipe out the entire world population of commercial bananas because they are all growing the same exact propagated triploid. It already happened once back in the 50's and they had to create a new banana strain.
Monsanto is NOTORIOUS for having done that. I’ve seen cases involving soybean and peanut crops where they shut down and bankrupted mom&pop farmers with their GMO BS.It can get even more nefarious.
