Canopy management, keep them as close as you can to your light the whole way.....averaging 18 inches thru flower works for me. Grow vibes your way.

Thankyou im just using canna A &B nutes at 40ml both to 10l of ph 6.5 water and im getting lots of nute burn on my autoflowering plant im just wondering what am i doing wrong ? This is my first time by the way haha any advice would be appreciated

Every auto flower I grew, whether topped or not, just does not have the time to develop. It is usually a smaller plant, therefore, it needs less food, or less often.

Do you think it may be as simple as that?

Its 2 week into flowering the other plants are blues non autoflowering i had another auto but it died i think i over fertilized it lol first timer mistake but im learning

IMHO new farmer plus max nutes equals, dead plants, scorched product and a shitty as well as expensive early experience. We all have to start somewhere......... But that's just me I'm still learning after 15 plus years.

15 years? and still have that bar set at minimum:(....I've been pushing the max on my lady's for 36+ years:cool: I do nothing at a minimum....The title new farmer means nothing! as does Well- known Farmer! I was a new farmer last week!...With 36+ years growing! As there are Well-Known farmers on here that have grown for only 15 years:confused: Your title means nothing to the AngryBeeman:mad:

40ml of A+B is strong, if i was you id start feeding at 20ml A+B and see how that goes. ph 6

its hard to give advice on a subject that there are so many things to talk about. start off with questions you need advice on. lazy question lol.

Have you tested the PH of the soil? It looks like you are running soil correct?

[If those are some sort of diy hempy bucket, (in other words, if you are hydro) you need to check the PH of your solution going in, not just the water.]

40ml of that stuff is strong. I'd follow Rasta's advice on that.

I think you misunderstood him. When I read it the firs time, I understood it this way. Then after reading your response I re-read it, & still understand it this way.

What he was saying is that a newbie farmer + heavy feedings is a recipe for failure. He wasn't talking about your, his, or anyone's "rank" underneath their name. & I agree with him, your first time around (first several) you are better off to feed safely, as opposed to burning them. Every time you burn them bad, you not only cost yourself time (I've seen them take 2 weeks to get back on track) but if you are in flower, you can kill the smell/taste of the product. Until you have a good feel for what you are doing, a newbie is far better off to err on the side of caution.

I also agree with you, the "rank" listed doesn't mean much if it is based on post count. But he wasn't talking about that.

Thankyou yes everythings okay 25/30 mil of each to 20 litres then ph up to 6.2 i use cal mag aswell everything seems to be fine ive just seitched to flowering now on my blues anytips please ive put a net in aswell

Deffo feed less till u can get some experience. I'm on my first grow and iv fed wrong. Typical noob mistake. Take your time and ask for advice but also think for yourself sometimes :)

Ok so in my experience with autos they need roots space so i recommend next time using a 7 or 10gal smart pot, i also agree with above statements cut feed in half, check ph.

Ok, so how is it going?

I'm still unsure if you are some sort of modified hempy or straight soil. But here is the lowdown on nutes.

Your plant will pick various nutrients at different PH levels. If you can achieve a swing between 5.8 -6.5 you are good. But you need to see which way (if at all) your PH swings. I.e. If your Ph is only going to swing up a bit, Ph'ing to 6.5 is too high. Because you are going to swing out of the range where the plant best uptakes nutrients. Mine swings down, so I'll ph to 6.5 a lot, because I know that's the highest its gonna get. It will gradually dip & I try to catch it at 5.8 (ideally) again.

You don't HAVE to do this, but if you can get your Ph to cover that swing between 5.8-6.5 your plants will absorb more nutes.

If you are just going to keep a constant PH, the 6.2 is good. If it's rock solid like that, I would lightly vary what you PH it to. Sometimes go to 5.8, sometimes 6.5..etc. But i wouldn't go direct from 5.8 to 6.5 It's not a HUGE difference, but I've seen autos do some really funky things, & I think some of it is from ph.

If you are in soil, test the ph of the runoff next time you water. Or get one of those garden testers & test the ph of the soil mix. Hopefully, if it's off, it's low, if so, you can just add some dolomite lime. Powder, not pellets, I've tried the pellets & wasn't a fan.

About the food, you need to think of it like this. Each time you overdo it, you stunt the plant. Your plants don't look terrible, but the pic is not great. It doesn't look like you stunted them. But if you are in flower now...& you stunt them NOW, you are losing flowering time with the plant, & the end product won't be as good.

If you are able to, reserve one of the plants to be the test plant. Try your food mix out on it before the others. That way if you burn a plant, you have only burned one. Also, on the nutes, in soil, with those size plants, you are probably only going to get to half the dose that is recommended on the bottle. I don't ever go by what's on the bottle. I start with 1/4 of that, work my way up to 1/2.

At 1/2, the plants were very happy. If I tried to push it, I could see the signs. So just keep it at 1/2. You are WAY better off, until you have a good handle on what you are doing, to feed them just enough that you don't see any bad signs. Because if you really overdo it, sometimes, you will severely impact everything. I had an Atomic Bomb recently that was beautiful. But it was a free seed. Just before the harvest, I gave it a feeding...just to see what would happen. It was a tad hot for the plant at that stage.

The plant has no smell, taste, color. It did before. But you can "bleach" those aspects out of a plant by over feeding them. So unless you have a plant that you don't care about, to test on, you are better off going with "safe" than sorry.

I highly recommend keeping a test plant during all runs. It's going to save you a lot of pain & heartache.

Keep the plants shorter, better yields. Autos I usually just let do their thing, you will only have time to top it once or twice. But photos, learn to lst & mainline.

Lst is what separates the men from the boys.

Also, knowing if you are soil or hydro could help us figure out what ph range you want to be in.

Sorry but you Do Not top or main line Autos,they only grow for 2-3months no time to repair its self. If you do then you have stunted and deminished your total outcome.. Autos need to be started in the pot that it will be finishing in ,Autos for the most part do not like heavy or strong nutes. Autos grow best by KISS....
