I’m just finishing up a photo seed (reg) experiment, and I wanna run as many as possible in a 4x4 tent. Going to use promix . Picked up a bunch of 1/2 gallon pots. I’ve never done a solo cup grow but I seen some people produce monsters. Kind of help I’m looking for is , stuff like “ do you water with a smaller amount more frequently?” “ flush more frequently to loose salts?” Any tips to keep them healthy in small pots would be appreciated, thanks.

I would water with lots or runoff every day multiple times per day depending on how big the plant are.

When growing cannabis in smaller pots, such as 1/2 gallon, it's important to pay close attention to watering and feeding. Here are a few tips to keep your plants healthy:

  1. Water more frequently: Since the pots are smaller, they will dry out quicker than larger pots. You may need to water every day or every other day. However, make sure not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot.
  2. Use a high-quality soil mix: Since you are using Promix, you should be good to go. However, make sure to add perlite to the mix to improve drainage.
  3. Feed regularly: Plants in smaller pots will require more frequent feeding than those in larger pots. Make sure to use a high-quality nutrient solution, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for feeding.
  4. Monitor pH: pH is critical for nutrient uptake. Use a pH meter to monitor the pH of your soil and nutrient solution. Keep the pH between 6.0-7.0 for soil.
  5. Consider using a flushing agent: Since plants in small pots can build up salts quickly, it's a good idea to flush your plants with a flushing agent every few weeks. This will help prevent nutrient lockout and improve overall plant health.
  6. Use training techniques: Since you want to maximize your yield, consider using training techniques such as topping, low-stress training (LST), and defoliation. This will help your plants grow bushier and produce more buds.
  7. Keep the temperature and humidity in check: Make sure to maintain a temperature between 68-78°F and a humidity between 40-60%. This will help prevent mold and other issues that can arise in a small grow space.
By following these tips, you should be able to grow healthy and productive cannabis plants in your 1/2 gallon pots. Good luck with your grow!
