I feel you man. Ive had many a convo with the "weed is weed" dudes. I understand where your coming from in a sense. I love the burning desire of a good sativa, and the calm anxiety free world on a strong purple. Take care of your paranoia with a good heavy hashy stone, and fall asleep smoking your cryp-shiznittle-bam-slipslapsam weed at night.

Am i the only one interested in a good sativa anymore? Wheres my sativa smokers at? Haha.

I think most common bud tokers like a variety, but unfortunately ...im finding that unless weed has a good potency it really doesnt hit me as hard anymore... I feel as though i lost a bit of my appreciation palette due to my tolerance ... Bummer

I really hope to find and grow a good sativa in my room. Dial the stretch to fit my indica canopy. That would be the sickest.

Sorry stoney rambling. Happy evening fellas. Positive vibes and respect where its due.... Alll around. Yew!

I'm a medical user (seizures, FMS, CFS, PTSD, HMO, GMO LOL) but I've yet to find a good Sativa that gets me motivated. A lot of the time, I end up in my own head. Racing thoughts, but not getting anything done. You ever had Super Silver Haze? It just rocks me stupid.

A lot of Sativa's do the same thing. I have this crappy Sour Diesel here that doesn't. If you have any good Sati recommendations that get you amped, I'm all ears.

Everyone is so different though. I do well in Indica's so long as they haven't been left to mature too long. A good indica, that's mostly milky trichomes, most of my pain goes away, & I tend to get stuff done. Like Blue Dream I think is an 80S/20I, I can't use it during the day, I don't get anything done. I actually don't see the fascination with Blue Dream, & I've had it from the Maine dispensaries, & they don't play. You can dump the trichomes out of the bag when you are done & smoke those. They poor out like cereal.

So I'm still looking for a good Sativa

**Edit, I've also had the Blue Dream cut before DJ Short did his thing with it...still not a fan.

hmm, well both you (SeaFOur) and PowerOG mentioned bodhi, I've also heard good things and never tried their gear. Might as well try somethin' from him then. Guess I have the most types from bodhi (though again 3 of each).

With bodhi then, which would ya'all pick to try?
Cougar's Milk, Lion's Milk, Kindness, Heaven Mountain, Sorcerer's apprentice, Pagoda, Blue Tara, Solo's Stash and Tranquil Elephantizer.

I know none are the "well known" types from bodhi, but I guess they were what I could get, heh.

If you want something to help with your anxiety bro is go with the cougar milk, lions milk, or TE. That nice Indy should help slow your mind down homie. And that's the best thing about Bodhi, you can find a bunch of strains that aren't Chem, Diesel, OG, or Cookie. He has them but he has plenty of others as well, which is why he's awesome. Life would suck if those were the only kinds of weed around. Variety is the spice of life

Should have some more to contribute soon, moving and the 1st and can finally flower some bitches out again. Hate having nothing to show, what can you do. I live vicariously through you dudes for now, thanks for the fix. Respect

Lol, I hear you.

One of my more recent plant runs was not during a move per se, but life got in the way, important people were in the hospital, I had to move the setup etc. In a rush to get a watering done, I dropped a plant once. Temps got too high one day & one plant stretched too far. Things weren't good

A lot of times it's mentioned how resilient these plants are. If you are equating resiliency with being hard to kill, there are millions of plants like that, this is absolutely nothing unique. Resiliency means being able to return to original shape after shock or capable of withstanding shock without permanent deformation or rupture. Quantifiably, I think that they are less resilient than most consumption plants.

A lot of times it's used just to talk someone off the ledge, after they have screwed something up & are worried. I get that. In 5 minutes I'll probably forget all about it & say it myself. It's just a misnomer. But I feel like talking about it. & Tnelz said I can talk about whatever lol.

But, really, when/if you blow it, that can be it. That's the opposite of resilience. If you miss a day & let it get real hot in there, I've seen plants leave the tent smelling like absolutely nothing, fully matured. But during veg, they were pretty stinky. A day of what it considers extreme heat & you can bleach the smell right out of them. Stress them too much in any way, they decide they want a sex change! That is also the opposite of resilient (returning to original form...get it? lol) Then they try to convince all your other plants to have a sex orgy lol (I'm so high right now, in case you haven't noticed, no pain, no seizures)

You can downright abuse a ton of vegetable plants, in ways you couldn't cannabis, & your tomatoes - for instance, will only be marginally affected. Probably not even noticeable. I grow lots of tomatoes. Same plants every year (several diff varieties) Every year, they are delicious. No noticeable difference from any other year, with little effort in comparison to cannabis.

We'll say a cannabis plant is resilient, but actually, when you mess it up, it can have a significant, lasting, impact. Like I said, the tomato will still be damn good. Provided the same amount of abuse...the meds, could be quantifiably terrible.

You know that saying that sex is like pizza? Just like pizza, when sex is good, it's really good. But even when it's bad...it's still pretty good? That doesn't apply to bud, in my opinion.

You can grow some terrible cannabis, much easier than you could grow terrible tomatoes.

You can grow amazing cannabis, but you have to have almost every detail locked. The margin of error, to grow amazing cannabis, is pretty small.

I think the mistake being made with "resiliency" is that we aren't talking about the end product. Which, you can screw up, in a number of ways & combinations that will have a devastating impact on the final product. It's not a resilient plant at all.

Will it bounce back from near death? Most plants will.

Will the end product be as good if you abused it like I do my tomato plants? Highly unlikely. And whatever you did to screw it up, will that aspect of the plant "bounce back" to what it would have been if you hadn't? From what I've noticed, a lot of times...no.

Relatively, it's a very hard plant to grow well, at least for the purposes we seek.

Im not a big fan of blue dream myself. And lately sour d has been turning me off. I smoked a cut of green crack once that def got me motivated up and moving. But it only lasted bout an hour after a fat bowl, and got less and less effective as time went by. So i feel as though there is a GOOD 11 week, specific needs sativa that is soaring.

Ssh is great but not an energetic mtoivator in my mind. Too hazy lol

I am searching... I heard green ribbon is good for energy. But never see it in circulation.

A real sativa needa da HEAT and room to grow. Different kind of love. I feel like most folks got their rooms accustomed to growing indicas cause theres a bigger demand. Most cash crop growers i know cut at 8 weeks regardless of strain and i feel like the sativa doesnt get its chance to shine indoors.

I would really dig finding a good racy sativa that keeps you up and moving. You hear the old school growers talking about it all the time, ive read about them plenty of times. Do you think the mythical energy stimulating sativa exists?

I totally agree. One single overdose of nutrients can mess up a crop to the point where it will never develop to its full potential. And the funny thing is, until you really start nailing the plants consistently, that mediocre bud will seem fucking awesome. Only when you really hit the plants' full potential will you realize your bud up until that point has been substandard.

Anyone who says growing cannabis is easy produces mediocre bud. Maybe the more accurate statement is the longer you grow the easier it seems, but that is true of every endeavor I think. Sometimes I get accused of being a snob, an mostly I have to agree, I am a total cannasnob, but I'm not an asshole about it, at least I don't think I am hahaha.

I'm also a sativa lover. Man who am I kidding, I love basically all expressions of cannabis when cultivated to their potential. I guess that's why I love the plant so much, her diversity fits really well with my desire to be altered in different ways. For me, the best sativa I've grown and smoked is the Destroyer from Cannabiogen. I have a Meao Thai expression that is a fucking champ. It's got the best sativa high there is when dosed accordingly, but take too much and it's a paranoia inducing mild hallucinatory plant that is sure to cause anxiety in most people. I'm not prone to anxiety at all but too much destroyer will make me bonkers.

Seems like it could just be your personal physiology that makes sativas unappealing to you. Which I believe is rather common, a lot of people don't care for 100% sativa precisely because there are few supplementary cannabinoids mitigating the psychotic inducing effect of THC. I bet a nice G13/Haze (or hybrid) would treat you well. Tangerine Haze comes to mind. There seems to be CBD potential within some of those G13/Haze hybrids soma released years back.

Yo so this is SO SO CRAZY!! So earlier I was whininng to you guys about being completley dry of meds. Well my back started acting up really bad an I was in so much pain I had to do something and I didnt want to go fill my script of POISON aka Oxy...So I got in the car and went to get advil at the gas station. Low and behold standing right in front of me is the old neighborhod HAZE man...We both did a double take and then quickly ruineted. He didn't have any Piff on him but he did have some Super heady medication. I feel like by doing the right thing and not getting that script of drugs I was rewarded with Natures Natural medication!! I am finally back home with an 8th of the fire and his number so we can get together regularly! YES!...anyway I thought I wold share that bc the moral of the story is doing the right thing always pays off! Have a great week everyone! Stay HIiiiiii...oh here are some pics of a lil of what I scooped up....

This right here is precisely why I avoid sativas. Talk about throwing me into an anxiety attack from hell. I use cannabis to alleviate those issues not to exacerbate them. I've had G13 and that was a decent smoke though I don't think it was grown to it's potential. The dispensaries here are right in line with all the other places it seems that pull at 8 weeks regardless of strain or plant maturity. Just after pushing product out the door to make that money. Makes it a real deal breaker for legitimate medical users imo.
