You sure I deserve that since I wasn't really the 10k post? I'd feel bad taking the thunder from anyone else that's been here longer then me...
If no one else wants it I'll gladly take it! Just let me know and I'll get yea some info!
Man this thread is dope!

Can you show me what you are talking about? One of us is confused...& it's me.The horti blue conv bulb for a 400w hps setup is 100 :)
I feel like we come to this crossroads a lot @Junk i say or mention something. We get confused. I explain. You explain. Everything is back to normal. Such as it is. Ahaha. Can you show me what you are talking about? One of us is confused...& it's me.
So, my pineapple kush snapped itself with its cola, i tried to duct tape it back and it worked for a while. Messed with it last night and now its leaves are starting to fail. Theres at least a qtr of bombies on the stem that snapped. Any ideas?
That's about right. This is the bulb I'm talking about though....the lowest price I can find is $160 plus shipping (second link, first is a better description of the bulb) I'd like to see what bulb you are talking about though. I think it's either the small guy or a dif bulb.220 is about what my entire 400w hps setup cost me lol
Has anyone found THE depression strain, the best strain for depression? I want that to be a part of my forest when I go pro. I need something that will make me happy and hungry. Lol.
About what particular aspect...specifically?I am not sure where or who to talk to first.
Edit: I am naming the strain I grew Chipper Bluegrass, after my dad, Chip. He loved good weed...

I was saying i wanted the 400w conversion bulb to run a MH in my HPS ballast. You said you were doing the same. But your getting the 1k conv bulb and im getting the 400w conv bulb. Thats where the price difference was. You said yours was 260 ish if memory serves. And i said mine was 100. I think that pretty much covers it
You get confused a lot huh. Lol
I can't deny that lmao....& some more lol-ing
But I see what happened now. No conversion bulb. What I meant was I got this hood, which has two sockets
http://www.amazon.com/Raptor-Reflec...d=1450124181&sr=1-4&keywords=hydrofarm+raptor
So I'm going to run a 1k HPS, & a yet to be determined MH bulb. So I think I said it would be like a high powered conversion bulb. I never planned on running an actual conversion bulb.
So for flower this run, I'm going to run the Horti 1k Blue, the Horti Super HPS 1k, probably the 400w MH bulb I have. Actual draw (I haven't checked the MH, so let's assume 400) is circa 2600. & another 500w of side lighting of various spectrums.
What ballast are you using that you are able to get the ballast, bulb & hood for $220?
Ever since @LadyL.Bean brought up that she uses this hood i have been looking at it more and more! I feel using this in my 5x5 flower tent would be kick ass. The problem is that spending 300$ on this hood plus another 160-180$ on another 1000w ballast is a lot of $$...its basically like 500$ and if I am spending around that I feel like the smarter play would be to spend $550 on that Nanolux 630w CMH ballast reflector package. Now I know theres a huge diff between 2k worth of light coming out of a hood especially when its 1khps and 1kmh but the 630w worth of cmh might be better....Anyone feel like chiming in??? Would having this 8in air-cooled hood with both a 1k hps lamp and a 1k mh lamp inside it be TOO much light for my lil ole 5x5 tent? If I had to go out on a limb and guess...im assuming I would prolly produce more with the 2k hood but get better quality with the 630w CMH hood....Thoughts??
Im confused...Are you telling me that in my 5x5 tent a 315w cmh will give me the same results as having the 630w in there? How?...Also do you think having that hood that houses 2 1k lamps in it would be too much light?after my research on this matter ive come to the conclusion , the 630 is a wank factor unless ur running sealed co2 . your light distribution will be virtually identical to a 315 .
the answer to this comes from your own goals , if you want the best result for the least money go hps . if u want to build a current tech grow op start buying 315's . personally id go 2 315's and build from there . i have yet to personaly grow with my 315's but the power savings and heat reduction are very atractive and the light is better receieved by your plant .then again i supose u can do some home elctronics and turn the 630 into 2 315's .
My local shop had a 400w hps ballast for 90. A hood for 120 and a bulb for 20 so i guess it was closer to 240. i told them all i had was 220 and they hooked me up. Love my local shop they always hook it upWhat ballast are you using that you are able to get the ballast, bulb & hood for $220?
from what ive think i know from research the 630 doesnt increase spread as the reflectors are the same . the 315 supplys ample light spectrums and lumens for its foot prints . some have split 630's into two seperate lights running off the same ballast witch would suit ur tent more . nelz may be able to expand as its fairly new to me , just be reasearching for a couple of mths . so yeah the footprint of the 630 is virtually the same as the 315 and there is a chance those plants in the 630 footprint will get to much light . witch reqiures co2 and other fucking around to deal with . if you got a 630 i would split and use 2 reflectors seperate from the unit to max footprint and provide sufficent light . imuIm confused...Are you telling me that in my 5x5 tent a 315w cmh will give me the same results as having the 630w in there? dont blame u bro .I Agree @Ned Kelly . I Just hate being called a liar.
Didn't know what "red back" meant so I looked it up and it's not exactly a friendly bug: it's a deadly Australian spider full of neurotoxins, and it also displays sexual cannibalism... :woot:
lol now check out white tails there worse .
I totally agree, I felt the disturbing anti-fellowship exchange questioning @drewski85, who for no reason was made to suffer more than the Blue Devils when they lost to Mercer on NCAA's second round .
sorry to finsh u may have to keep the 630 up to 36 inches from canopy top not to burn plants witch aint good in a tent the 315's should be around 18 inches .from what ive think i know from research the 630 doesnt increase spread as the reflectors are the same . the 315 supplys ample light spectrums and lumens for its foot prints . some have split 630's into two seperate lights running off the same ballast witch would suit ur tent more . nelz may be able to expand as its fairly new to me , just be reasearching for a couple of mths . so yeah the footprint of the 630 is virtually the same as the 315 and there is a chance those plants in the 630 footprint will get to much light . witch reqiures co2 and other fucking around to deal with . if you got a 630 i would split and use 2 reflectors seperate from the unit to max footprint and provide sufficent light . imu
