Well good morning everyone! Pretty dead in here lately so maybe i can stir up a convo. I need some help!

So i just noticed a small PM out break in my garden. A little in my veg space. A little in my flower room. Veg space has genetics that id really like to keep. Flower room has two northern lights about 5 weeks in. And a few others about 2 weeks in. Are these salvagable?

There are a FEW spots on leaves here and there. It is NOT out of control. Yet.

I need suggestions fellas. I want to fight this PM off immediately. Im willing to do whatever it takes to make it right. Chop destroy. Clean. Start fresh. Im down. But is this necessary?

Tell me please your suggested plan of action.

Yes. I say to start over....sorry gardnguy.

If you want to harvest what you've got, or maybe finish out the run? I'd turn it all into BHO though. And I think others would disagree and say to trash everything now. And some would probably also say don't worry about it.

How do you think you got PM? I've never had it but my buddy has been plagued by it for a while now.

Personally I would clean the room. Take all your equipment...if you can dunk it in water, dunk it into a borax solution. If you can't dunk it, use a spray bottle and sponge with a borax solution. Get all corners and lips of everything. Then go to your room and use the spray bottle with borax and sponge. Spray every surface of the room. Wipe down every surface. Make sure to spray the ceilings and corners. I have joists and beams I need to use the spray bottle at many different angles to get 100% complete coverage.

This is my go-to cleaning method. I used it on spider mites. Borax kills everything lol. And it is relatively safe (safer than bleach!)

Horsetail tea is GREAT to use as a foliar for PM....also after you get a handle on it, using Cap's Folair regularly will make sure it doesn't come back!!

50/50 milk & water.
I read a study about the use of a milk solution on grapes to combat PM....
The study reported the milk was as effective as chemical treatments.

dont spray buds, or you'll get milk in the calyxes that will spoil... in veg, you can rinse it off.

Also, Generic, ethanol based mouthwash can be very effective....
Tests using one part mouthwash to three parts water worked well for Jeff Gillman, Ph.D, A Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, Department of Horticulture.

Pm is systemic I'd do some research on eagle20 I think u can't flower for 45 days. Only spray plants in veg. Milk keeps it at bay but doesn't eliminate pm.

Isnt some pm just traveling spores and not considered systemic?

I ran this same plant last 2 months no PM. Strikes me as odd that it would suddenly have systemic PM

I haven't caught the full conversation- but I wanted to recommend stylet oil in the fight against pm. Not an option for flower, but great for a preventative

I can name a string of local dispensaries that have been shut down for failing tests for eagle 20... its toxic and known to be a cancer causing agent... I personally wouldnt recommend using that, and I wouldnt want to regularly smoke that shit....
I'd be more worried about increasing airflow and possibly adding a dehumidifier... crowd the plants a bit less and/or defoliate (although, manual removal should be a no brainer to cut number of spores down) just the removal, plus the environmental correction to make spores less likely to take hold...

PM is already in the air in many many cases... the environmental should be the first fix... simple shit... water in the morning so plants have a chance to dry through the day.

milk does work. whole milk, the fresher the better... but for flower, since sulfur burning isnt an option, I'd try the alcohol mouthwash or 1 tablespoon baking soda and 2.5 tablespoons of horticultural oil per gallon in a sprayer...

but I also will repeat... the reason WHY you've got it is the most important... whether its too crowded, too many foliars, too much humidity, not enough airflow (especially at night when plants tend to transpire the most) etc...

Dammit!!! Why does everything cost SO MUCH money??? I have to buy soil/amendments and also a few last key pieces for the new tent. For the soil...if I buy pro mix and the amendments i need to make the soil the way i want it ends up costing me the same as if I were to buy 6 1cuft bags of Buildasoil's Living soil w/ Malibu with shipping....Both end up costing me around $300...the thing is if I mix myself i will have enough amendments left over to mix up 2 more big bales of promix, I guess that makes it work it so next time i need soil i only have to buy a bail and im done....Okay i just had to kinda write it out for me to decide.....

Okay. I see. I will try the baking soda on my flowering plants. Tonight at lights on im, gonna go In there with my lady and were gonna go cleaning crazy. Clip leaves. Increase air flow.

. Rh has been low but ill take a look.

I don't foliar

I think it started in my veg space tbh

Im gonna remove everything from the room and scrub it. (not in function or use)

Clean the walls with bleach water

And also im gonna spray everything down how you suggested. Thanks seafour, your wealth of knowledge sustains us all here In T's thread

I don't know how true this is but I can remember reading in a book that pm can be and is most cases caused by the room r/h being higher than the root any thoughts on this ?
