First time growing ever ! This is finally results , I see the trichomes are looking cloudy with some amber , I'm hearing this is good ! My question is can I chop today ? Do I flush for a week ? Does that make any difference ? I keep seeing different post but just going down every wormhole I can find ! I’m heading more amber more couch lock ! Is the most potency right now ? I’m hearing it’s alright to chop but I just need more reassurance for myself if that’s alright !

Nice looking plant.

Imho , I just don’t see this flower as finished yet.

Yes it does look like something good but then the flower swells and builds density.

Enjoy your gardening.

You could.

No. The only reason to flush is when there are excess nutrients in the medium.

I doubt it. Just stop or reduce the amount of nutrients you're using.

It happens to many of us. Just focus on getting good harvests. Eventually, you'll find a growing method that works for you. When you get to that point, you can start trying new methods.

You probably wouldn't be disappointed.

I think you could harvest now. The specific moment in time isn't critical. The high tends to be more mellow with a later harvest. So, you could harvest in a week. It looks to me like there's still some growing to be done, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't like what you have now.

You made this so understandable and well worded ! I appreciate ya brotha ! Yeah I haven’t gotten this far so it’s a new playing field for me ! I just want a good harvest ! Definitely would like to further develop my expertise and definitely try new methods ! So I could chop today ! But in your honest opinion , would ya wait another week ? Other dude commented “to wait” as well ! I don’t mind waiting but I wonder if waiting does the trichomes darken and turn more amber and change the effect of it right now ? How long does it take for trichomes to amber ( ?And when I do harvest do I want pot to be dry or still saturated??

Beautiful. I would probably wait another week. See if the buds swell some more..but according to your trichomes it can be cut. Nice chance it will put on more weight after a week though.

Judging from how many white pistils are left, it looks to me like there's still some growing left to do. The leaves look like they're just about done, though. So, it's hard to say for sure, and some of it is personal preference. It wouldn't hurt to wait a few days to see how they develop. From what I can see, most of the trichomes are cloudy and a few are amber, so you're in the zone.

Just about forever, or so it seems. It's never certain, and many never do.

People have different opinions about that. Letting them get thirsty might help them dry faster. The stress might add some potency, but the plants lose some growth potential. Overall, I'm not sure it matters much, and it's difficult (if not impossible) to test. When I think of it, I harvest a day or so after the last watering.

Plant isnt finished yet, and I like my stuff with not a lot of amber. There are still white stigmas, and few of the red/brown stigmas, have started to turn back towards the bud itself. Bud still needs to swell. Id say it needss 10-14 more days anyway.
Id cut the fert in half, and watch for it to start using less water. I wouldnt so called Flush it. Usually if I know Im 2 weeks from harvest, and feeding chemical fert, I cut the fert by 25%, and then the week before harvest, I cut it another 25%. And then the only reason is because the plant is going to be slowing its growth, and metabolism down. So it wont need as much food, or water.
As far as watering at the end, or not watering. I would just water cut back the water by 50% on the last watering. Time it so it will be time for the next watering, when you harvest it. Just keep it simple. Right now, the plant looks very good, and is probably some good shit right now, if the genetics are there. The plant looks healthy. Which is half the battle. No use fudging anything up now, or getting impatient. Just let the bud swell, cut back on fertilizer, and keep an eye out as to when the plant starts to use less water. Youve done a good job so far.
Simple, Basics, is usually always the best guarantee, for success.

I’ll definitely start cutting on the nutes, everyone is recommending that part ! I definitely feel like she can swell a bit more that’s why I’m so hesitant on anything at this point ! Everyone’s saying to give it time so it’s easing my mind to just relax and let it do its thing ! But I haven’t changed water schedule so far I’ll definitely see when I start to adjust and water less as well ! Thanks man I really appreciate the feedback !

Yes, it looks good, and as far as amber, it has as about many as Id want. Id most likely chop it. It could probably go a few/several more days, but it is very close. maybe give it one more watering. Is it still using water? And if you water it again, Id cut fert back more, or at this point, plain water. If its still using water at a good clip, id give if several 5-7 more days. If not. Cut now, or 2-4 days. I chop when they are due for their next watering, so they arent really hydrated when chopped.

Newer grower. I don’t flush. I have found that if I just give plain water for the last two rounds, my bud tastes much better

I would chop them, when the next watering is due. The plant will also continue to live, and metabolize for probably a day, after its chopped, so the THC glands will further mature.
If next scheduled watering is tomorrow, Id chop it, tomorrow. If next watering is for today, Id chop it today.
Always keep everything, as simple, as possible.
