The best political climate has always been the Emerald Triangle Counties - Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino. Lake County is also pretty liberal. Careful where you move to, man California counties are passing very restrictive grow ordinances.

Santa Cruz, Trinity, and Mendocino seem to be the most mellow of all the counties. Humboldt is cracking down a little, they have even started pressing charges against the trimmers.

Is it important to own your own land? Santa cruz is really expensive as far as real estate. Would buying land and putting a mobile work better for short finances? Thanks for your fast responces!
