Too early to Top ?

First time grower , I have them in 5 gallon DWC....

I know 1stplant (pic 1) is way too early for topping ... it is only 10 days old from seed.

2nd plant in pic 2 that is 18 days old from seed ... growing nice thus far. Is it too early to top this one ... any advice on when I should start thinking about doing that ? Much appreciated !!

I usually top after 4-5 nodes.

Ya I'd never top that early you need some height and nodes.

This is around the size I start topping. I waited till 4 growths cut back down to the 3rd and cleaned the bottom. some guys only leave 2 new growth I left 4 on this girl

I top at 3rd set of true leaves as in your 2nd plant but thats outdoors .i cant allow anymore than 6 main branches as they get too bushy and a little unmanagleable..i pretty much scrog mine along the ground haha.
