Is it ok to top and transplant you're babies at the same time? As well they would be going from T5's to HPS lighting at the same time. This weekend I will be transplanting, then I plan to flip to 12/12 in a week or two (when they reach a foot in height)...I think they're currently at about 5 or 6 nodes / 7 or 8 inches.

if you are a gentle transplanter, then their shouldn't be a problem to do both at the same time. just remember to keep you HID up a little for the first few days so that the plants can harden to it..especially with a fresh flesh wound right on top. You should be good..Watch growin?

Thanks bro...I just popped a whole bunch of beans that I've been itchin to get goin: Alien Kush, Alien Dog, Chem B, Chemberry, Orange Chem, Raskal's OG, FireBubba, StrawberryBubba, Chem DD, White Urkle, PTKSD...thanks for askin btw :)

What height would you recommend I start the light over them to start? I use a 600w hps with adjust-a-wing (not air-cooled) reflector? I was thinkin to start them 2.5
feet and work it down to 1 by the time I get to flower in a couple weeks or so.

Leave them a greater distance for the first day. They're just finding there medium, I say about 3 feet above freshly transplanted plants coming from under floros.

You can quickly drop the light to whatever you desire over the next two days or so.
