So I have recently switched my Zkittles plant from her 1l pot in SOIL to a 5 gallon smart pot with coco. Used canna coco, but I flushed it anyway just to be sure it was rid of salts, then pre charged it with a half dose of bytes. The plant suffered little to no stress and has exploded with new growth

The only question I have is should I be changing the water/feeding schedule since she has gone from soil into coco? I was only able to take off about 15% of the existing soil, as it was very firm and I didn’t want to rupture any roots. It was 8inches tall and had outgrown that pot so it was definitley time for the pot up. But like I said I’m concerned about the water and feeding frequency most growers follow with coco as there is still a decent amount of soil surrounding the plants roots...

does anybody have any experience with soil to coco transplants? If so did you have to taper into the hydroponic feeding schedule or did you just jump right into it?

Reason for transplanting: the plant was in its originally 1l container for about a month, given to me by a friend, grown without any nutes so far and seemed to be dropping until I up potted Her. There were also roots poking from the bottom of the pot.

Anyone got anything they could chime in?

I think it will have to be a suck it and see problem as long as you don’t let the coco dry out , I would water the plant till 20% run off let drain and pick up the pot see how heavy it has become keep an idea of weight in your head give a few days depending on the heat n humidity in your grow space then pick up pot if it’s light it needs water , coco also needs cal / mag . Regards Od .

Thanks man! That’s what I’ve read about coco so I have been watering(with cal mag) about every other day to every day. I know keeping the coco moist is very important, I just wasn’t sure if all of this moisture will effect the existing soil around the majority of the roots from the transplant, or if I should be trying to water less over the soil
