Can plants started in soil be transplanted to hydro/UC at any stage?
Is there any protocols to follow? Any problems etc??

Well, you'll end up shocking the plant pretty badly. I took a clone out of a peat pot once and transfered it to DCW. It took almost two weeks to recover well enough to start growing again, and when it did it was all sorts of funky growth...

It can be done though. I've seen other people do it with bigger plants, too.

Um, funky just weird. Internode spacing was tighter than anything I'd ever seen, and the hormones were out of wack, cause the lower nodes shot up branches way past the top node...

Best way to do it is submerged in a bin of water as the roots arent pulled by dirt pockets detatching with roots embedded ripping them off. I wouldnt do it to a fully established plant, maybe clones in soil for max 2weeks.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I ended up selling everything in my tent right before I was ready to flower because I had to move. :( I never got to flower it.

Actually, aside from the wasted time to let the plants recover, the weirdness you described (extremely tight internodes) sounds like a good thing! I have just moved a couple of my monster-clones from soil to hydro (hydroton) because it got too late to plant outside this year. Will post in a new thread -and will come back & leave a link for anybody who might be reading this one.
Hope your plants survived the move to new owners' place!
