1tst time real grow trying to learn the trichome selections. Would thses be considered mostly cloudy? And if so, how long til harvest (20% amber) would you guess? Promix style, small tent, white widow auto, 8 weeks from breaking ground. Sorry in advance for the shit pictures,,only have my old phone to use.
You really need a jewelers loop, aftermarket lenses, or a digital microscope to see trichomes. It seems like you can see the trichs clearly but you can’t. They always look cloudy with a phone camera.
Thanks man, I've got a microscope coming from amazon now. Hope to get a better look then. Still learning the look of them though and ratios in real time. I think is rather take them a little late than early though.
When using the microscope turn off your grow lights and dim the scope about 1/2-2/3 so there is no glare on the trichs. When you look through the scope the difference will be clear. Damaged trichomes oxidize and turn amber, those don’t count. Also the ones on the leaves turn first and don’t count either. Look at the flowers themselves.

Still no amber to speak of, maybe a few over entire plant and same amount of clear, I'd say 98% cloudy. But all the hairs are red and drawn in, leaves have been fading a week or so. Do you think its ready?
