I'd probably run the light for as long as the daylight. I've had plants make it through a day-long power outage without any problems, so this shouldn't be a problem, even if you lose power for a while. My question is do I keep my light on for 8 hours or 12 hours she wasn't quite getting 10 Outdoors ?
I would say, dont even worry about the light, they could be put in darkness for a day or two without issue. The change in environment, aka bugs and predators is more stressful to them. My anecdotal experience.Good evening I hope everybody is doing well I have a question my girl is 5 weeks into flower. she is in a grow bag which is also in a pot to be carried around if need be with a tomato cage over the top. I'm moving her inside till the storm passes maybe inside one to two days I do have an inexpensive grow light set setup I do have a fan.
My question is do I keep my light on for 8 hours or 12 hours she wasn't quite getting 10 Outdoors ?
unfortunately I'm having to move her inside the house to keep from any potential damage or diseases or death. (Won't let me upload pictures)
Thanks for advice very much appreciated.
With that being said I think you have a web and might want to try and get as many pests as possible before bringing it in.I would say, dont even worry about the light, they could be put in darkness for a day or two without issue. Great ty Yes im concerned about the bit of stress and not throwing her into veg again with too much light. Max 2 days already seems like a lifetime. Ty so much for you response. This is my first time since i was a teenager giving it a go. I think we've built quite a relationship though.Good evening!
First off, it’s great that you’re taking precautions to protect your girl from the storm! Since she’s 5 weeks into flower, you’ll want to stick to a 12-hour light cycle to maintain her flowering schedule. Cannabis plants in flower typically need 12 hours of darkness and 12 hours of light, so keeping that consistent even indoors will help prevent any issues with the flowering process.
It’s also good that you have a fan for airflow—that will help keep things stable inside. Just be mindful of the temperature and humidity while she’s indoors for the next couple of days, as sudden changes can stress the plant.
Sounds like you're doing all the right things to ensure she stays safe through the storm. Best of luck, and feel free to ask more questions if you need any further advice!
