if I recommend more N i feel like that would be kind of irresponsible without knowing some of the other parameters like water PH and all that. could be some kind of lock out. but my simple mind thinks it just needs some more N becasue they are hungry. (let someone with more experience guide you on that) I was just reading a post from a member really ragging on “throwing stuff at a plant when you dont know what’s wrong with it” can or might make things WAY worse! im totally in agreement with that. but adding a little N for now and seeing what happens im not seeing a problem with doing that.

but ill tell what didnt work for me : ) waiting for it to clear up on its own! stuff only got more yellow, needed food. they are looking better and holding on to what green they had left.

Agreed, my first thought was also nitrogen at very least. I doubt the plants will die soon because of this deficiency but yields will likely be affected.

This far into flower top dressing nutrients might not be very effective, but some earthworm castings on top should help. I’m not sure why, but I found the nitrogen quickly makes its way to the roots with EWC.

Liquid nutrients would give you a quicker fix, but you risk causing other problems as mentioned by BearWater, without knowing exactly what’s wrong. That said, sometimes we never figure out what was wrong, just educated guesses.

Sorry, just realized I should’ve replied to the OP and quoted your post instead of replying to your post directly. Unfortunately, I am too new to the online world to know how to do that

The plants in sauna looking a little rough.
I think the added dol lime is fucking them up.

Week 5 in the box.
Plants still a little yellow. But buds look ok.

Well with the younger plants in the lime hopefully they'll flush out the lime with the waterings.
I've never put garden lime on weed just my lawn and i know it's supposed to be watered in really well.

Your flowering plants will finish, maybe a little lower in yield though, but this deficiency won’t kill them before harvest. The buds look nice though.

Of course, I’m diagnosing from pictures rather than a chemical analysis of your soil, which you can get done for a fairly reasonable price. Still, if they were mine I would increase the nitrogen next time round and maybe even try to add some nitrogen now.
I mentioned EWC previously because they are very mild and have some other beneficial nutrients - it’s really tough to harm your plants with too much EWC.

As far as lime, I’ve never had to use it but I do know that it takes a while to become effective, like maybe a couple weeks. That said, did you also put that liquid cal mag as well as the lime? The liquid would’ve been available and utilized almost immediately but that’s an awful lot of cal mag if there’s lime too.

Do you mind if I ask why you are using RO water? If you are on city water, that is generally far better for your plants. If you are on well water, then the RO water might be the right choice. I ask because it could also be the source of your deficiency, possibly copper or zinc, which are both present in most city water supplies, along with calcium and magnesium and some others.

Yeah dude thats my general consensus on this stuff also! Like where have you been my whole liiiife!
I had two of my cali blues get “big” in their solos so I up potted them into the stuff, they TOOK OFF! : )

im going to be trying to keep mine green also. im hoping the Gaia green will help with that. but i am still going to run the green leaf line on top of that with some cal-mag and kelp along the way as needed. so far though im super stoked with it! Super stoked for you also man! Looks like you are also getting closer to dialing it all in!

Another vote for pro mix and Gaia here.

I run Promix HP, EWC, Gaia green all purpose, Gaia green glacial rock dust and tap water.
For flower just add Gaia green power bloom.

No top dressing, no PH measurements, no de-chlorinating, just straight from the tap city water. Everyone’s tap water will be slightly different, but soil is a great buffer. Check your runoff for pH if you feel the need to pH.
Different plants will have different needs as well, but I always run mixed grows and have yet to find a plant starving for anything on the Gaia green.

I have tried all kinds of techniques and products under the sun in all kinds of combinations over the years.
This is by far the easiest I have ever grown. I’m not saying it’s the best way to grow or denying that by being more hands-on there could be larger yields etc., but this works perfectly for my needs.

Additionally, I have NEVER EVER found an insect in my pro mix, I cannot say that for ANY of the soils I have tried over the years. The last living soil I used came with free thrips!!

Shits rolling along. Plants in the box not looking worse. That's good.

Sauna plants still growing. Not giving up yet on them. But if they get to ugly I'll just start over. Got some Fire seeds coming.

Looking good Dadman! I think the littles are off to a good start! What are your plans on training? You going to top any of them?

The big plants look great. Like you said not worse so thats a good thing. What all are you doing with them? Just watering?

I topped them already. I just let them grow until bud arms are long enough to tie down.
The big plants I upped nutes to 3/4 dose.
Turned down light to 45% as high as I can get it.

Hey dadman,
Am I correct that your light is approximately a 300 W light? I’m not familiar with the brand but did a quick search and that’s the first info I found.

I searched for : viparspectra ks3000
Found this:

This basically says for maximum effect, the light should be roughly 26 inches above the plants during seedling and veg stages, 50% power and 80% power respectively. During flower it should be 100% power at 12 inches above the tops.
That isn’t the gospel, but it’s a good range and suggested by the manufacturer.

I have a light with similar diodes that is over 700 W and I have it about 12 inches above my tops at 85% power. That suggests to me that your light shouldn’t be hurting your plants, so more likely the plants are suffering a deficiency or possibly an excess of something.

Light that sucker up!!

So the plants in the sauna. The ones I added dolimitic lime to. 2 are looking rough. 2 are looking ok. I took close up pictures. It's crazy one of the ugly ones got bud hairs growing already.

Night time in the box.

6 weeks in the box.
Fed full dose nutes yesterday
Se-5000 at 50% as high as I can get it in tent.
Plants still turning yellow. I'm getting close to them being done so I hope they hold out another cuppa weeks. Like Beetlejuice says.

In the sauna still 2 uglies and 2 decent.
I'm gonna get rid of the ugly to make some room for new plants!

Those plants are really packing on some weight, congratulations!

I hate to sound like a broken record but as others also pointed out, it seems most likely to be a deficiency yellowing the plants, not the light, so hopefully full nutrients helps.

You mentioned the SE 5000 here, but previously you mentioned another brand with lower power, closer to 300 W. Did you upgrade again or did I miss something?

I run the SE 7000 at around 80%-85% around 12-16 inches from the canopy. This makes me think your girls must be starving for more light.

Not trying to be all knowing, but let there be light!

Spliffy bro I got 2 areas.
Ks-3000 in the sauna vegging.
Se-5000 in the box.
Appreciate you bro. I need all the help I can get.

Reason I thought it was light was the yellowing didn't start until I turned light up.
