Seedling Program - 4 Weeks

Weeks 1 - 4, 18 hours on. Hanging height 36” (from floor). Sunrise/sunset 15 minutes each. Controller settings as shown. Day 7 completes each week.

The sunrise/sunset controller feature gradually ramps lights on and off (dawn - dusk). Personal setting - 15 minutes each. Ramp up/down included during program On/Off.

Grow is Fall/Winter.
Germination method: spring water soak 14 hours, then paper towel. Coconut Coir seed starting pellets for transplanting sprouts.

Seeds are Feminized Chocolate Kush (sensi star ♀ x afghani ♂) by 00 Seeds Bank, unknown Sativa Hybrid & Bruce Banner from Seedsman.

Soil prepared with N,P,K; Cal-Mag; Big Bloom, flush @ 1 gallon per bag. Individual N, P, K amounts as recommended from manufacturer of NPK Industries RAW® products. Pellets transplanted directly into 5 gal fabric pots once roots establish through pellets.

Weeks 5 - 12, 18 hours on, canopy height 30”. Controller settings as shown. Sunrise/sunset 15 minutes each.

Nutrients - At Wk 5 Day 1 begin Week 1 of soil feeding schedule (see last page). Each week during growth Day 1, apply appropriate nutrient mix per feeding schedule and Days 3 - 5 & Ph adjusted 6.0± water w/ cal/mag 3mg @ ½ gallon per plant to start, then increase to ¾ gallon as growth dictates. Extractor for run off removal in saucers. All plants topped Wk 5 Day 1.

End Of Growth Program -

Week 12 Day 7, 18 hours on, canopy height 30” . Controller settings as shown. Sunrise/sunset 15 minutes each. Average plant height 25”. Taller stalks bent outward to reduce height and to expose center of plant to full light.

Week 13 Day 4 increase red to 86%. Week 14 Day 4 increase Red to 92%.

Nutrients Start Week 5 of soil feeding schedule. Water continues @ ¾ gallon per plant days 3, 4 & 6. Gives better nutrient absorption Day 1.

Nutrients continue Week 5 of soil feeding schedule. On day 1 each week feed according to schedule. Water continues @ ¾ gallon per plant days 3, 4 & 6 Canopy now 30” to accommodate UVB.

Week 16 - the plants have begun to produce flowers in earnest.

Week 17 tested the UVB bulbs lights off just to see their footprint. Maxed out the light canopy using the carabiner attached to the ceiling cross members. So far grow has been stellar and then I let them grow to 24” during growth. Now the canopy is 25”, plants stretched to 36.” Should be a 30+” canopy to accomodate the UVB exposure. Could have used the extra 6” from growth. Other previous pictures show same strain with different leaf patterns. To me it seems the seeds were F1/F2 and at least the one reverted back to a parent.

Sugar leaves are frosting. Taller colas have been LST/Supercropped to maintain canopy. One Chocolate Kush cola I kinked over, and it knuckled nicely. The buds on it really like it. Jury is out on the Bruce Banner. They are frosty and a little sticky but! Chocolate Kush will produce very large nuggets.

Week 18 Day 3 All plants defoliated to improve bottom light exposure and bud development.

Heat adjustment hassle. Outside intake air in 30°s. Room will run 78° during the day heaters off. Nighttime goes to 60° if I forget. So the hassle is turning on the heaters before I close up the garden for the night. Or leave the heaters on and have the garden at 82° Sick of chasing 78°. Need much colder weather streak. Not to mention a cold snap could bring the room to freezing.

Old school ways say top at four, never get rid of the fans. On Week 19 day 1 I will reevaluate and probably add defoliation in the third week of flower to my toolkit.

Remembering the early 70’s, armed with Mel Frank’s “How to grow Marijuana.” and a large room full of growlux grow bulbs repleat with homemade tin roof fixture hoods. Growing scraggly assed Sativa. Disaster! Project cost $400.

Wk 19, Day 1 start UVB between 10am - 3 pm @ 15 minutes on the hour. (1½ hours total exposure).

Wk 19, Day 4 footprint: 10 am @ 30 minutes; 12 pm @45 minutes; 2 pm @ 30 minutes. (1¾ hours total exposure).

1/64th tsp of both P & K added to the existing nutrient mix. Experiment! On week nine of soil

Day 7 of Week 21.

All I did was top at 3, light prune, light defoliation.

Nutrient feeding stopped. Ph water only.

It certainly is Fall in my garden. One BB plant hasn’t turned yet.

The CK grew as expected. This was 00 Seeds Sensi-star version. The runt seedling grew into a beautiful plant.

BB were freebie seeds. I did not pay much attention to them. Both plants different phenos. One produced sativa like leads. The other put out a lot of weaker laterals. Whatever the sativa in the hybrid showed through.

Unknown sativa hybrid. Lots of flower laden branches bending from the weight. Can’t wait to see her unleashed alone.

As usual the harvest comes when the plants dictate. Thank my spirits I stopped feeding and only watered until the end. Excepting a flush the day before I chopped. ! No finish

I hate trimming. All employed bud trimmers should be given raises
