Undiagnosed problem need some help please

So my white widows in the big pots are 3 weeks old.
I think I overwated them 4 days ago, I am holding off watering until they are dry to avoid bud rot, the leaves are getting some sort of yellow tinge on the edges and tips and some of the leaves are showing a light green patch on.. I have been growing in light mix, I am waiting to water them again.. Question is, do I just use water, or should I use nutes now? Maybe it's nitrogen deficiency? Will this help with calcium and magnesium deficiency also? if it is that? I was using bottled water, but today boiled some tap water, hoping theres enoguh CAL and MAG to help out if it is this.

Also one of the plants, the top leaves that are coming out seem very dry, and the very bottom leaves are dying, but they look healthy, I guess due to not getting enough light and with the plant being under some stress, this would be normal?

I poked my finger down into the soil, completely dry around the edges and managed to move away some soil, still seems a little wet so I held off watering them..

Can anyone look at the plants and see what I should do? I have also turned the light down to 25% as I don't want to stress her..

They look really nice! Had they not dried out enough before their last watering? Are you physically able to “heft” the pots? I was just out in my shed this morning lifting pots lol. I take the weight and look of the plant into watering consideration.
If I tried the finger in the soil trick this morning “they would be bone dry” but the bottom quarter or so still has moisture and I know that because the weight of the pot and the plants dont quite look thirsty on the lower leaves (im trying to water a little more than i usually do) i dry the crap out of mine sometimes (probably too much and not recommended) hahah!

What medium are you growing in and what if any are you feeding them?

Not dried out! 4 days exactly now (to the hour) I am just worried about the roots drying out, and wondering if I could just go a few more days until I am sure they can be water. I have them in fabric pots within another pot that I will probably transplant into, thats for drainage, like a complete newbie I had them on the floor! Of course with the fabric the water could probably still come out I am worried about root rot also! Thats why I wanna dry them out... But I really wanna get some nutes in and correct the issues on the plant.. I could cut open the fabric pot I suppose?

Light mix - Bio
Just water, plan to add Bio Grow next water.. And then a week after Bio Bloom

Plants look good No need to concern yourself with bud rot , you’re in veg

Are you following a feeding schedule ? If not, sounds like it would help.

Something I’ve learned is that the plant will grow, get out of her way . Overmothering is a thing

Im way to new at all this to jump in like I know what im talking about lol. But those plants from what you described could probably use some food (which it sounds like you’re going to start) as BB suggested you should absolutely follow a feeding schedule : ) and this is a pro tip I learned recently, really watch what the mfg is telling you to use amount wise (they want you to consume so you buy more) so with that said really watch your first feeding, like cut it in half or less and see how the plants respond. And take notes… thats something I can confidently suggest

I dont think thats root rot : ) those were some of the plants first leaves so they are going to get a little weathered along the way. You can totally remove those at any time moving forward

Plants look healthy, no drooping, etc. How does the bottom of your pot feel? Wet or dry? Yep, cut off those lower leaves, they're worthless.

Dry, also most of the soil is dry, had a good poke around, trying not to disturb the root too much and it does seem a little moist, but hard to tell if thats the soil itself? Lightmix always seems to be a little moist to the touch? Day 4 with no water, will try and wait maybe 2 more days? I have read that if it is root rot, the symptoms will start to show within 7 days.. So far, almost all leaves are pretty much very green and I hope it isn't root rot! I've put the fabric containers into those buckets to create a gap, which I will eventually transplant into. For 2 days I had the plants on a grill to provide air to under the plant to dry it quicker.. Also lowered RH and turned the fan up.. So day 4 it is, so hoping this isn't root rot. These girls have come along so well! And I also have other seedlings there so don't want cross contamination. My first grow in many years, and learning a lot! lol

Yeah I think i remember helping you with that. Told you to check the bottom and it was drenched hehe. The pot elevators help drainage or else the bottoms just sit in stagnant water. Your plants look fine now. You do not have root rot. Next time you water i remember you saying you were gonna add nutrients. Try not to give them too much nutes so you don't throw them off. just my 2cents.

So I waited until today, it's been 6 hours since the water, almost 5 days with no water, watered both plants with 1lt or 6.1ph, wonderfully I used tap water and adding half the amount of nutrients it brought the PH naturally down to 6.1... I also put the light back up to 50%, it seems the plant is preflowering! So I want to get as much light and bloom as possible. Next feed, probably in 3 days or whenever the soil is dry I will add the whole amount of nutes.

I am thinking of repotting, maybe cutting down the side and cutting the bottom of the fabric pot and placing it inside a bigger pot, I did this with plastic cups and it seems to work well as you can just kind of slide it out.. Will 5gal pots be enough? (it's what I am using now) Could I also just put soil at the bottom of the bigger pots and let them grow through the fabric pots? As it's my first grow, I am not really worried about getting a huge yield or masive plants, I would just be very happy with all the shit I have learned and I have all the gear ready for the next grow! But I'll take as much advice as possible, later I will post a photo up, plants seemed to have perked up since the nutes and watering..

Let's see how she reacts tomorrow.

5gal will be enough. Be careful cutting as you don't want to snip any roots or pull on roots by accident. Your roots are more established now then when they were in cups, so you need to really move slow as they may be attached to the fabric itself. You don't want to put them in SHOCK. Good that you only used 1/2 nutes. Your plants will let you know if you need more, but i think ur good. just my 2 cents..

They look a lot better man that's for sure. Running at 50% on the Mars 300w. I have another Mars 300w, thinking of adding it when the other seedlings start to grow.

Also have trellis netting coming tomorrow and some LST, was thinking maybe opening her up, nothing drastic, but damn she is bushy! I am in preflower though, so no topping, no LST or nothing extreme I guess? Just run through the grow as it's my first and be happy to get some bud and start experimenting on the next grow with more experience.. I guess?

Anyway, thanks to you guys I didnt do anything drastic and for almost 3 and a half weeks old, they look pretty good, I think?

I would go after some of the lower leaves that are getting little to no light. Curious if bigger pots are in the near future. Some LST is in order soon.
