Vegging Time In 3 Gal Pots

From seed, in 3 gal pots- can I get away with vegging for 7-8 weeks under a 600watt HPS, and then flowering for 8-9 weeks under 1000watt HPS without becoming rootbound?

In Roots Organics soil, and being fed their liquid nutrient line as well.

The strains are Bubblegum, Critical Hog, Chronic, and Amherst Sour Diesel

depends on your plan,if you got room for bush or stalks,8 weeks is perfect for a 3 gal imo,but the bitch gonna be bushy and take up some room,stalks,sativa get real tall and will try to put your lights out the tent,but decent training and you can work both,i would swap the hps for mh in veg though,i got a 2x4x5 tent and just finished 2 in 3 gal pots,and that tent was full of bush hahahah

I’d say yes but only with a fabric or air pot to air prune the roots. If not, you’ll end up root bound.

I transplant up from party cups to 1 gallon nursery pot to final 3 gallon.

Average 6 weeks veg and 10 weeks flower. 1 week veg aprox in the final 3 gallon before moved to flower room.

This space is 4’ x 7’ for size reference.

Pots are fully packed with roots and in fast draining potting soil. Need water every 2 days at maturity. Smaller pots just need more attention for plant needs.

Plants bent over and tied down by week 3 to form bushes. All different strains/ crosses/ phenos.

I was trying to mainline but then I snaoed one side and didnt grow bk rite so I took it off. But this what I got in a 2x2c4 tent

Thank you for this response. I have same size tent and have 3 Durban poison seeds in Germination as we speak and I have been going back and forth with pot sizes and number of plants. Figured I'll do 3, in 3 gallon mesh, directly under my Mars Hydro TSL2000 strip, and LST,HST AND SCROG. Hoping for a table top canopy. But I too was wondering how many weeks to Veg in 3 gallon because I've only ever done autos and this is my first run at photoperiods. Thanks for youre reaponse
