OK you suspect TMV I think here’s some pics from sometimes I’ve dealt with it. The thing that I think is good on your behalf with yours there’s no leaf distortions just those anomalies in the pigment which are a lot of the time that can be a byproduct of a hybrid seed, so that being said it’s still possible though pic pick two that is a infected bud, but it’s notbad as some of the other distortions and three and four you can see the split color Picture five is also exhibiting the split colors. It’s it’s the top left corner plant. This is a plant that looks very similar to yours you know and it did end up having TMV pretty vicious so this is the part that makes me think that it’s possible but at the same time you know it could go the other way Next That it’s progressing up the plant and it’s all the way to the cola all the new growth is exhibiting problems with it. It’s just totally terrible for any type of buds. I grew this thing out because I wanted to learn as much as I could about it. you know I’ve run into it a lot these days. I have it on the skywalker OG auto as we speak now rule of thumb always clean shears in between plants and wash your hands as well because handling a plant with TMV and then handling your next plant if you’re doing pruning or something, let’s say you can spread it that way by accidentally touching you no spot where you took a leaf be diligent Take care of your shears and make sure that they’re sterilized 90% so And that last part is church man like we gotta stop the spread of it every little bit we can we’re the only mitigating force against the crap because the banks obviously don’t give a fuck so it’s safe to grow you just gotta practice really really good sterilization in between dealing with it and the rest of your crap. Other than that you know it sucks. It’s terrible to see, but it is interesting to walk it through the process and see how funky it can really get didn’t even blast those bud just threw them all away.

So what's the best way to go about this? I don't want to waste to much time on something that is infected and won't perform well.

I’m all about learning it. I get ya though, like I said man, I’m 50-50. You could go either way me personally I hate killing plants but at the same time it’s not infectious to any of your other plants in your crop. It’s only a problem if you forget to clean your shears in between plants,
Also, at the same time, I’m not very sure that that’s a full on infection yet. I would let it grow out maybe another three or four tiers of leaves just to see, and then if the squeezes isn’t worth the juice man compost it.
