I guess I could get a harvest and sell my tent then when its done sell the vcure and buy my tent back.It definitely looks like one hell of a convenient system, but according to their website it's $1500+. A little steep, even for me!
I just finished dropping just over a grand on new equipment to start this new grow. I'm going to have to wait another year or so, or (as I've been informed) I'll be sleeping in my grow tent. I have a couple of local Goodwill stores and have asked to be called if a wooden cabinet or wardrobe comes by. I did see a great video somewhere on a somewhat automated curing system. Utilized an air pump and a humidity controller. Put the pot in the bucket that is air-tight. Sensor trips the air pump when it reaches a determined rh% trigger and exhausts it through a check-valve. So long as your temperature is good, it should eliminate burping jars endlessly. I'll look into it in more detail as my grow progresses, but if it looks legit, it's probably under $100 to make the entire thing.

I think I was looking at their Canadian website. That would certainly explain the price difference. As you say, give it a year and the price should come down a fair bit as more companies release their own versions of these curing boxes. I went a similar route; except I used a 2x2x3 tent. Similarly, I used a 120mm computer fan for exhaust and Inkbird controllers. There are drying racks and circulation fans inside. So far, it has worked well. I do have some upgrade ideas, though. The current version doesn't do anything to control temperature or humidity. I'd post a picture, but the dryer is caught in the flow of miscellaneous junk that always finds its way into the realm of unused things. Our next drying is about 2 months away, giving me ample time to procrastinate getting it ready.
We only dry in the tent. Instead, we cure in Grove bags and Mason jars. In truth, I'm not very involved in the drying and curing. My wife likes doing it. The handoff from growing to drying happens after the wet trimming.
There isn't much to complain about with the way we do it now. So, we're not motivated to drop $1K for a device like this. We do like tech, though. Maybe AC Infinity will come out with a similar device that will work with our existing hardware.
I've ordered one but the confirmation email said it was a pre order? Say what? there was no mention of it being a pre order when I ordered it. Says shipping starts the end of May. I have a crop at 6 weeks in flower now I was hoping to dry in my new box but its going to be close. If I get it before June I may be good otherwise it'll be my next crop and I really need the drying box in the summer, trying to get a proper dry at 90f @90% isn't easy.I bought one. The drying process is the part of the grow that really stresses me out because it is really tough to maintain proper temp and humidity, and fighting really low humidity. I figured that I've wasted more money on dumber things in the past, and if this works as advertised, I will automate the dry and cure for me.

I've been reading the multiple posts where people are getting theirs and the front glass is shattered.....there are a LOT of posts like that. FedEx has a reputation....but there are a LOT of people getting shattered doors....
Watching the FedEx tracking updates was miserable....Sunday it had to have a new label because the current one was not readable... then on Tuesday they tried to deliver it to the wrong house. Luckily nobody was there to sign for it. I finally received it Wednesday morning.
Mine has a small dent in the side of it, but the glass was intact, so I will consider it a "win". I waited 24 hours before running it, and it has been holding w/in 1 or 2 points from the settings just running empty for the past few hours. The app is working and so far so good.
My next run won't be done until mid to late July....so it will just be sitting for a while, but I am optimistic.

I have a home made dry box that is able to dry my weed okay but not a 14 day cure. Most of it dries too fast. I can't get 60 ish f any time of the year. Pets and fam can't handle the cold. I've seen the homemade wine fridges with peltier cooling but they are hacks not a proper drying environment. Cannatrols are expensive and there was very little competition until now. If you can't afford them they will appear to be a waste of money. If you can afford them they are just another toy and I like my toys.You can make a home made fridge with a peltier it will be smell proof for 300$

I can't remember all of the details but I looked into peltier cooling a few years back and I seem to remember needing 30 amps DC to drive the units in the size I need. Requiring a converter to go from AC to DC at over 30 amps and that's a lot of power.Why are they hacks they keep the temperature 60 and humidity 60 what else do they need to do?
Cannatrol will require you to put a wet spunge in there because its the same shit as the peltiere fridge
