We are finally getting things looking consistently good! We will see what happens when the temps skyrocket, but vdp is staying more consistent. Even though my door is half open, my t7 Humidifier is helping manage vdp better.

Me either, but unfortunately, I dont think thats going ot be possible for an outdoor grow in oohio.i think even 90-95 will be ok, its the 105+ days that worry me! Im going to set up a mister this weekend on the outside that automatically comes on and cools down the outside of the hoop house above 95 degrees. It may or may bit work, but its worth a try!

I'm building a loop house this season, but putting it in an area that doesn't get hit with direct Sun. I'm also creating it so that 1) the Sides roll almost all the way up; and 2) there will be open doors on both sides. This is literally, to your point, to keep the weather off the plants, which became a nightmare last year.

Last thing in the world that I would do is Mist the weed plants. Growing outdoors, it seems that is just begging for bud rot.

Yeah, my thoughts were to mist them before flower, but instead im just going to mist the outside on the hottest days of the year to help keep it in check. Im in direct sunlight all day, so its going to be a fun challenge!

New fellow here. So, I have a particular conundrum. My wife will not let me grow indoors, (bummer,I know) so I purchased a hoop house (15'x7'x7') to stay within local laws and be able to grow. Now, with that said, this is my first real grow and im trying to set myself up for success and have spared no expense. I have the spider farmer bottom watering system to make sure the soil stays nice and moist, using the coots soil recipes. I have the ac infinity 6 inch inline fan with the new ai+ controller. I have a couple of ac infinity Oscillating fans, and I have the ac infinity t7 Humidifier, all controlled by the ai+ controller. Now for the issue.

Temps......

Its getting up close to 100 degrees in there with a shade cloth on it. With the Humidifier I should be able to keep vdp within range during veg, but this means keeping humidity during the day at around 75-80%rh. I can open the windows and get temps down considerably, but then humidity drops way too low and screws vdp even worse.

Since I can only do so much with temps, can I use humidity to keep vdp within range and still be successful? During flowering I will need less humidity and will cross that bridge when I get there, but will I be ok during veg at 95 degrees with crazy high humidity?

Don't listen to the naysayers or those that have no experience with growing in a tunnel or GH. You can setup a light misting system and it will help reduce the temperature. It was 96 here today misters were on ALL DAY. Kept my tunnel at between 96 and 99. Keep air circulation on and you won't have mildew or mold problems. Use potassium silicate foliar spray it will keep pH high on leaf surfaces preventing mold and mildew. You can research bluetooth valves or timing devices, hotter days require more misting. Cloudy days sometimes none. Anyone commenting without any idea of what they're talking about growing under a tunnel stop talking.

So I ended up putting a 40% alumanet and a vevor shutter fan in my hoop house backwards so it blows in and not out, and it has worked phenomenal. I stay typically about 2-4 degrees cooler than outside temps. Im wrapping up my forst grow now and couldn't be happier, neither could my plants! I didnt trim the grass around the bottom of the hoop house at first and woke up to powdery mildew around the bottom. Not a little, a LOT! That just came from the moisture of the grass growing up around the edges . I managed to get it all cleaned up without spreading it and keep it trimmed nicely and added some fungicide once and zero issues again.

What is the ppfd with the shade cloth? I've used shade cloth in past years.
