Barneys Farm Wedding Cake

It's going to be a slow start with these clones, although they rooted in eight days.
Flower room size is a 4x6x8ft sealed room
Rockwool grow from 2inch to 4 inch and finall resting place is a uni-slab
She is a 80% Indica mixed with 20% sativa cherry Pie x Girl Scout Cookies x OG Kush

These clones have recently rooted and are now in beging stages of vegative stage
This is almost a 17 gallon 64litter toat that is feeding the nutrient mixture to the plants. The ph of resivor will stay at 5.5 with 0.5ec
The temprature of the resevor depends on the time of the day and season. It fluctuates from 76f to 85f in summer and 69f to 75f in winter
The resivor has a pump that takes the feeding through flex pipes to the plant. At the end of the flex pipe i have connectors that devide the nutrients in two smaller tubes and gets taken to the plants.
During summer I use AC to cool the room down. In winter just normal outside air exchange.
The room temp stays around 84f when lights are on. I try to aim for a 80f/26c leaf temp
The humidity varies during the process of the plant. I aim for 70% in veg and 50% during flower
In flower the pump is setup to a timer that feeds the plants every hour for one minute. At 12pm it gets a 5 min flush. During veggative stage and since the plant is small and on a 4inch rw cube. I feed it everytime i feel the rw is running less moist. Usually every few days i water it. This is to ensure that root development continues.
Mega Crop 2 parts is used for base line nutrients. I also use potassium silicate, power Si, Fluvic acid, H2o2 and Terpinator.
Currently the plant goes through sieries of lights before getting under the actual lights. Currently using a Mars Hydro TS-1000 for veggative stage. I dropped the intensity down and put the clones under the mother so it is mostly coverd. Main flower room will have two lights daisy chained to 700w

Here are the clones that will be going into the flower room once the current harvest is completed. These are feminized pseeds

Here is the mother that was grown from seed. She is currently in a 1 gallon pot. I use ProMix HP for all my mother plants. The clones i taken are the two main branches that was growing tall.

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Last night I prepared a mixture to pre-soak the 4 inch rockwools. This is how i prepare my mixture for rockwool.
My tap water is like RO and has 0EC with ph around 7.4/8 depending on the time and season.
I added 1ml of pottasium silicate into a cup of water and mixed it for few minutes. Than i added the cup of water to 2 gallon of water that was in the bucket.
Once everything is mixed for few minutes than I ph adjusted to 6.5 before adding any nutrients. I use mega crop two parts nutrients. 2 grams of Part A and 2.5grams of part B. Each part is mixed for 5 min
Part A consist of the following nutrients: (N)(NO3)(P)(K)(Mg)(CA)(S)(Fe)(Zn)(B)(Mn)(Cu)(Mo)(Si)
Part B consist of the following nutrients: (N)(NO3)(NH4)(Ca)
Once my nutrients are added than I ph adjust to 5.5
I add 1ml of fluvic acid and mixed it for few minutes
After fluvic acid I add 5ml of h2o2 and finally the two part enzyme.
Once everything is mixed together I dropped the two 4inch rockwools into the water and this morning i took the rw out and dropped in the 1 inch rockwools into the hole of the 4 inch.

Happy saturday farmers!
This morning i did a syrange test and the ph was at 6.3 hence why the clones arn't looking good.
I ran 1 gallon between each 4inch rockwool to bring the ph back in range. I assume that he ph rise has to do with my ratios of using silicate.
normally i don't have any deffeciency in veggative and i think i will stop giving it silicate until they go into flower.

On a good note, we have roots coming out from the bottom of rw

The roots finally started showing at the bottom of the rockwool so i decided to clean the flower room and take these wedding cake girls into the room.
They don't look the best at the moment as I've hit some issues few weeks ago. Pest, high PH, vpd, and overall wrong measurements calculations on feeding.
The girls are off to a better start now since I've hit them with some safer's end all and after a week of fixing my calculation the rockwools are now properly holding ph at 5.7. The EC in rw is at 0.5. I have refilled the main revisor which the timers are set for the pumps. In couple weeks these girls should start taking off.

Happy Sunday farmers,

It's been a while i did a update on the wedding cake. A while back i got infested with aphids and did a spray of saffers pest control and that fixed the problem. I will do another pest spray before sending these to flower. The older leaves did get a bit of damage, but the new leaves are looking perfect. Currently, running at 0.6ec with ph of 5.7,
vpd is totally of as the weather is changing and i haven't been able to keep up with that perfectly. Room temps at 82f with 43% RH. leaf temp 79f

Since the light goes on at 6AM and turns off at 2AM i have no choice to give additional dry back. Currently, the plants get two/three hours of dryyback before feeding. I do have a flush setup at 3PM for 3 min and the last feeding is at 12am for 1min which gets about 500ml of feeding. I'm still in the figuring out how much feeding should go through, but at the end of the day my waste water is about 2% more or less

Happy Friday Farmers

I'm not sure what it is but the girl on the left seems to be doing alot better than the right. Same thing with my last grow. although the right plant looks good again, it does look shorter tho.

I've changed a bit of my ratio's on the feeding mix. Currently, i am using less than a 1/4 of a tea spoon of silica and this little bit pushs my water ph to 9. Than i Ph adjust to 5.7/6 and than i add mega crop, ph adjust again than h2o2, and few other goodies. One or two more weeks and these girls will go to flower.

Almost coming to the end of first week of 12/12. I am starting to notice white hairs coming out and thinking another week and flower sites should be visible.
I've tromandosly have changed the amount of pottasium sillicate i was feeding. Currently, i am dropping four little drops in a 5 gallon of tap water. My current tap water is at 7.4ph with 0.0EC
Before mixing it in the 5 gallon, i grab a cup of water and mix the sillicate 1st and that cup of mixture get a ph 10 with 0.2ec. When i drop the cup of mixture in the 5 gallon, the mixture goes to 8.4ph and 0,0EC in the 5 gallon. I PH adjust anywhere between 5.9/6.5 and than I add fluvic acid, mega crop nutrients and, and h202

All of this has been going on in the background until i could figure how much Sillicate i need to mix to keep the levels in res correct. Currently, The ph goes as high as 5.8 before i adjust it to 5.5/5.6

I did have some pest problems and the saffers mixture did give me some white resedue on the leaves. The ph problem that is now more and less fixed is the cause of the leaves being darker and lighter.

Kinda fukt up here by breaking the main stem. it was not intentional, but rather a bit of low stress training.
I've got it rapped around a plastic and wet paper towel so it could fix it self. Most likly will get a big knot over there if it does fix it self.

just did a bit of deffoliation today. The broken top area of the main stem is starting to heal i believe. The leaves arn't drying out which is a good sign in my book.
i also started raising the nutrients and am now feeding it 0.8ec. still no sign of flower

3rd week of flower. Top sides are starting to form flowers. I also turned on the SE3000 from spider farmer to give adequate lighting through out the room as the lower areas of the plant wasn't getting enough light. I tried getting a before and after pictures of the plant with one led light running vs two led lights. The extra juice does wonders if everything else goes smoothly.
Been looking behind the leaves for insects, mites and so on encase a treatment is needed before the flowers start to fatten, but everything looks good.
I think it was yesterday that i did a water change. curently at 0.8ec

Plants are coming to the end of their stretch and bud sites are now perfectly visible. Based on the color of the leaves the plants are in perfect health condition.
I did lower the nitrogin in the mixture to 4g but increased everything else by 2 gram.

i've also noticed that these plants do better in a bit higher tempratures. However, my RH is slightly on the lower side which isn't helping.

The @INKBIRD Inkbirdplus Infrared laser temrature gun is a perfect way to find out what the exact leaf temp is at. 28celcius is not a bad number if humidity and air exchange is proper.
I don't have a proper exhust system in place so the room is running a bit on the higher temps. My humidity is also very low. Something i have to start focusing on and fixing for the room.

Idea's are welcome.

I took the wrapping off of the broken main branch and glad it was fully healled. So far everything looks to be going good on 5th week of flower i think it is.
This round im not going to focus on the day count but rather try to see when the plant is ready. Did some more snipping and diffoliating today. Will change the resivor tomorrow and i think im going to keep the nutrients the same at 0.8 ec

I think this is 5th week of flower and I am deffinitly seening a change in flower size base on the last update I had. Decided to take a picture while the light when off. Hopefully that doesn't shock them as it would suck. It's been really dry in the room and the heat has currled some leaves up. I think i'm going to cut of some fan leaves and allow more air and light to go through the branches.

I think either this is 6th or 7th wee of flower, but i'm not sure exactly. To be honest i haven't even checked to see if at what precentage the pistils are.
Regardless all the hairlines are still white so i'm thinking it still has some time. I have changed the res water last week and reduced the nutrient level to 0.5 ec as few more weeks and i think they should be done

I decided to grab the microscope and take a closer look at the trichomes today. mix of clear and cloudy trichomes, i'd say 30/70%. Since we are getting closer to the end, i'm going to change the resivor water and reduce the nutrients further down to 0.3ec for another week and see how things are then.

it's too bad that the weather outside is cold and dry. i;m taking that air in as fresh air and heater are working but it's just not enough 75f. The Humidity is low as 20% and becasuse of that the leaves have crulled up. mostly my fault for not having the founds to put the proper ventalation system in place.

Majority of trichomes are starting to get cloudy but there is still alot that is clear. I'd say another week or two and we should have good amount of cloudy trichomes everywhere.
Still feeding at 0.5ec but by next week i will reduce that to 0.2ec and start getting ready for week three to run clearex for 24hours and than fill the resevor with ph water for the remaining week.
I think chopping will happen on new years
