Can anyone who explain this to me...

I warmed some 95% alcohol up to 140f.

I had propane extract. I stirred it into the collection dish. When I did this it fizzed and cracked and popped BUT the wax totally fell out of solution and I just snatched it up with my tool and the oil was nice and yellow red.

What did I do? This worked out great BC at the very least I saved myself the hassle of running a Buchner funnel through a few paper filters and wasting huge amounts of time waiting to clarify the waxes out.

If anyone can describe the science behind this I would appreciate it, its rather fascinating.

any possible contaminates in there with the alcohol..residue from something on the inside of the vessel??

Supersaturation causing precipitation? I have no idea. Bump-a-lump.

Sounds about the most logical explination, As i used a bottle of room temp everclear to winterize my batch a cpl times and both times the waxes crashed out at room temp ( well some of them ) with more when the bottle reached sub freezing temps.. But the most crashed out as soon as it hit the iso..

I think Seamaidens got it..

The fizzle crack pop part was leftover solvent tho...
