What’s wrong with them? The new growth looks glossy and is discolored.

I thought I had Nitrogen toxicity, but I changed the nutrient solution in my RDWC 4 days ago and it hasn’t improved. Growth has been slowed down the last couple of day. I just wanted to flip them to flower so it’s kind of urgent.

Would broad mites be the culprit? I have a microscope, and don’t see anything suspicious or really that much difference between old vs new growth.

Ive been informed that when mine was so dark green and slightly glossy, it was highly possible that its nitrogen excess or toxicity. Wasnt much of an issue though as i just used 1 time with 4 gallons very slowly.

A true flush would have been 4 tomes as much water as i used but i wasnt attempting to rinse it all out as im still in veg. I just wanted to water it down and remove some of it to dilute its potency. It worked great.

I changed nutrient solution 4 days ago. I use GHE tripart and went from my first batch of all RO water and the recommended tripart %’s at 0.8 EC. Too my second batch of just equal parts of the triparts. But I added tap water. So now it’s at 0.8EC but only 0.4 are nutrients.

But it hasn’t really improved the last 4 days. And I have the feeling that growth is slowing down.

Take it easy on detroit up there. I dont think hes had his morning cup of joe (pun intended)

Tbh as far as the numerical values go, im a novice. Ive been going with this one rasta guys technique which is all about touch taste smell and closely observing what happens to the plant in each of its stages. Mind you that takes years of experience which i dont have, however we gotta start somewhere. Only thing that came to mind is what i suggested, not that there isnt other answers, its just that my knowledge is limited but i can tell ya what worked for me. Hope it helps.

I just gave them a new solution 4 days ago and they started drinking and eating from it pretty good. With the first batch, EC was rising when I changed the solution. Now it’s declining. It could also have to do with the tap water.

I’m going to flip to 12/12 this weekend. And I’m going to make a new batch with even less nitrogen then this one. Should I be feeding it slowly to my current solution? Or throw this batch away and immediately start with a new batch? I also didn’t flush them since its rdwc and I was told I didn’t have too.

Id assume you were told you didnt have to flush under the assumption that your water is on point. If the nutes are too high, it doesnt matter if its soil hydro or coco, youll fuck shit up...so my suggestion and whats given my rookie ass some success is the less is more method. Whatever the recommended dose is, cut it in half or maybe less. Why do that? Well bc its far easier to add some more if needed rather than having to remove excess.

Now broski take my opinion with a grain of salt as Im a rookie, on first grow and im in organic soil which regulates itself for the most part. Im simply observing and using a bit of common sense. Oh also maybe wait to flip so that you can correct the issue in veg and not stress the plant while its trying to produce the budds. I was gonna flip today and seen a thrip, so now i wait another 48 hrs to see how it goes and then ill flip.

I am waiting to flip. The flip should have happened a couple of days ago. When I don’t do it SOON my roots will probably clog the system later in flower!
