Hi all, new to growing, I have already learned from a few mistakes sure learning more along the way

2xDURBAN POSIN
2xRUNTS
i dont think i waited long enough on germenation for the runtz they have not popped from soil after a week i think they are lost cause learning mistake

but the Durban germination was amazing very fast compared to runtz

Im using fox farm soil
I have them sitting on vivosun watering base
My heat is around 75-80 in room and inside tint
Humidity sits between 50 - 60
I put a humidifier in there and set it to about 50%
Fan for inside tint arrives today once arrives I'll place higher up and point it down
Duct is blowing bad air out
I did water with a small amount of water a few days ago, but maybe a total of two watering in a 8 day period when I say small I mean like a shot glass of water
Dimmable light set to 40%
Light is 450watts
I had light alot closer prior to owning the growhub app before I was able to dim the light was set to 350 about 24inchs away tent was hott soil was warm, but babies where dark green looking great

Now on added dimmer and water base im getting drooping Moved light farther away and dim light to 40% thinking maybe I had light to close and too hott

Soil feels moist clumps when I squeeze but not over water, so I figure water base must be doing it's job, should I remove the base is it giving them to much water?
Should I remove a wick from the base
Lower the light
Raise the intensity of the light
What am I doing wrong guys SAVE MY BABIES

When they are that small, I think I would just top water! Allowing for adequate dry back between waterings! What little roots there are down there are pretty much a direct reflection of what is growing up top! And they need to dry back and breathe just as much as they need to drink water! It’s a lot easier to control that by starting them in solos and then up potting! Just two cents!

Yep!
Chucky be on it.
Oversatiration down low, when a olant is that small, will never grow roots fast enough to populate the lower portion of the pot before over saturation occurs.
Once that happens plant will never breach that. Because as @Oldchucky said, air, and a proper wet dry cycle is everything. No air?
= no roots

This is how folks end up with root rot (eventually)
And if they get to havest, they will go to remove the dirt and old rootball to find half the pot unused with zero roots in the bottom half and a bunch of stinky mud.
I would act as if you are up potting and down pot.
If you are confident enough to do that.
Solo would be best like chucky said.

Yeah I knew i should have done solos i assume it's to late to take them out and use solo cups now ?

So you think take them off the base and top water for now

From what I see is a grower putting water at the base of a seedling. This does not work very well. The roots need to be coaxed to find water. I do this by placing a 16 oz solo cup over the seedling and watering outside the direct soil in contact with the roots.
This will give your plants moisture they need but at a rate that will cause the roots to look for water.
A good rule of thumb is growth up top equals root growth. When your pot plant leaves span the solocup and you can no longer fit the cup over the seedling it will be time to water more out to the edge of the pot with more water. Not quarts/liters yet but more. This is when you start looking for pot dryback. After you are at .5 liters of water you should get in the habit of lifting your pots and checking weight. Do this a bunch of times and muscle memory will learn you when you have an empty pot. Once you are at a liter and more watering becomes easier as the weight change is substantial and you definitely will be able to tell the difference between needing water and not.
I have 4 plants on 3 water schedules due to growth. Feeling weight helps when a pot plant decided that it is not really drinking today. Not checking for water needs causes over watering which is not to much water it's to often water. With a 5 gallon pot I get 3-4 days average cycle but sometimes 2 and sometimes 5.

Down pot into solos.
Just dig out around the plants in a wide circle and get your hands waaay under it, think ladle, and put it in a cup.

You guys are amazing thank you so much putting them into solos now with some fresh soil

The cup on top of the plant and watering the outside of the cup that is freaking genius thank you

Crazy how the water base really gets that soil moist

When you go to transfer, I'd put a little more soil in to pots. Roots will have more room and you won't have wasted space. I usually leave about an inch or so before the top.

Also make sure you put holes in the bottoms if the cups, you can do it still with a plant in it, find something pointy

Also power tip repotting into solo. Put your plant into a clear cup and that cup into a red cup. This allows you to check roots by lifting the cup out and looking. Will prevent guess work on up potting due to root growth.

I highly recommend the Photone app to dial in your lights. It takes away all the guesswork and it’s cheap and I believe plenty accurate enough if you use the right paper for diffuser.

The ppfd app on the play store updated with some goodies that were not in the original toolkit. This is the one that pairs with the blue Tooth red uni-t 338 bt Lux meter.
First it now auto recognizes the BT tool and has calibration built in for it
2nd it defaults to a 3500k panel for spectrum choice which covers a lot of panels without the math.
3rd. Comparing it to the released pppfd par map that is available it was very close in veg selection but both seedling and flower were off double the veg.
I only use the BT tool in lux cause it's fast. Like moving tomatoes out of the shade sometimes moving a bud 3 inches to the left is 5k lux on a very economical light that tapers quick on the edges.

Crucial step in the solo cup set up, damn things will stay wet β€œfor-ev-ver!” without holes!

make sure you put holes in all the cups if you use the clear solo inside the outer solo method : ) something I over looked and had to make some on the fly adjustments
