Wait a sec... 0.1 gpw is what you are getting? So you are getting less than 4 oz per 1000 watts?

And when you say change out veg leaves to flower leaves, can you explain your process for this?

Umm... @sixstring could you break this down...

But after a bad first grow I let a experienced buddy take the reins n setup everything his way, his clones, nute choice, water schedule, Eve re thang.

But he doesn't do soil. Lol.

But long story short, he pulls nearly 2g per w. His basics are 50g res, 13 rubber maid containers, 2.5 or 3 in piping, 4 plants, 2- 1000w de grativa hps, runs c02 at 1600 and uses a 7 strand clone that's a solid hybrid of 9lb hammer mainly ment to give big yields.

It's a huge room, sealed, ac.....prolly $20k equipment to run/automate things.

dude im gonna read the rest of the thread before I comment, but there is several reasons he is out doing you.
Lastly this a very flawed question as De are way more powerful than single 1ks, as well as hydro to soil..
As well as controlled room.. well let me see how many others prob done told you this as I read the rest of the thread...

i get .10 gpw running 1 plant under 8 mars panels.total power used is like 5900w but i should do better now that i found out you need to change the veg leaves to flower leaves or use both types of leaves in flowering modes
we need to change this shit to oz per sq foot.i seen one guy in all my years of being on the net do a legit grow, documenting all the way through and weighing it out on youtube, and he pulled like 1.5- 1.6 gpw (growmau5) maybe 2 guys, think i seen gg do it also.

I'm not trying compare him to me

I have a 4x3 closet n a 600w. He has a tiny building built out.

My setup prolly costs 850/900 bux. He's in for $25+

I'm just saying he pulls close to 2g per watt, but it ain't no home garden. He's half way to real industrial type production.

But it's what I try to dial down n aim for it. But I keep dolllars of your setup in mind when looking at yield.

I just cant comment until sixstring explains the leaf swap out technique that he utilizes for such yields as .10
Im with you! I got .21 so im a little better than you, ha...
Well sorry feds I suck, go find better growers to get..

However OP, I did hear thru tormail that DE lights have been know to get 3 elbows if you got all the cards stacked for you. 2 is really good for shps.
But bro, there are a lot of variables, and even I want as much as possible, but I almost always pick quality over quantity, as In genetics..
If your goal is to figure out what light to buy, let us know, and we dirty your thread up with 20 more posts that are really meaningless, since light means nothing without environment..
If you want what your buddys got, then you gonna have to call your 2 buddies, Visa, And Mastercard...

Ok here it is.

Every darlins net I run nets me 5.5oz dry. Multiply x 6 plants = 33oz dry just for 6x darlins net. I still have 6 more plants in the room. All average 5oz each x12 main plants and 3.7 gal pots x4 net me 3oz each.

There ya go. Is that all spelled out for ya better?

I am curious as to what people are pulling off their lights. How many grams do you harvest for how many watts of light used. Obviously lots of factors make things different. Feel free to list any details about your findings. Kind of Light is key to understanding ratio. All answers will interest someone.

guys, cover your manginas. Unless your yields are netting you over 1m$ + , the feds couldn't care less what your doing.

So, I been doing this for.... Yeah, awhile. My first grow was a 4x4 tent constructed by wrapping a pvc pipe rectangular cube skeleton with Mylar. Granted I had been involved with this plant closely for many years before growing my own, which gave me an advantage. Inside the tent was a single 1k hps connected to a can fan 6 which sucked air from the tents interior, Through a can filter 6 , then out of the tent through ducting adjacent to the filter

No co2
Active air intake
No ac

Within the tent I lined 4 oscillating fans which kept 4 green crack and 4 blue dream plants fluttering constantly in the grow.

1x 1000watt hps equaled 1.5lbs of dried smoke. I sold 1lb to a clinic for 3800usd and smoked the rest.

Many years, many improvement and a growing love for my comrade, cannabis - has rewarded me with success and pleasure to the tune of 2.5gmw in my current, permanent op.

Cheers to the Gardners who understand that the plants needs and requirements should always trump the Gardner's.

sea of green is the most common. Over the years I've become more interested in having a close personal connection with my plants. If it if in my garden, every leaf is accessible, every plant can be walked around. I gave up sea of green for larger, more matured veg plants with a fraction of the count. My smallest room has larger plants than most have seen week 5. Still alot of thickening and hardening ahead. 1lb per plant under 3k watts with 4 plants is childsplay. 5.5 possible.
