What could be going on here?

Under 1000W HID’s, promix, temp 78 humidity 70%. Getting fed with Athena, a couple plants the leaves are curling inwards from the sides of the leaves (boating up from the sides).

Any help is appreciated!

How far is the light from the plants? Or I guess I should ask, what kinda of PPFD are you running?

This is just a guess, but the times I've had that happen it's due to me pushing the plants too hard with the light...and poor watering techniques. Not saying that's the case here, but I'm pretty sure you'll see deficiencies, particularly calcium, if you're pushing too hard.

Looks like light burn and an Mg deficiency. Can you raise the light and add some epsom salts?

Cant raise the height of the light due to my low ceilings. Right now running at 75% and the pffdd is around 400 throughout canopy.

To me this is due to light burn and heat stress

You'll have to reduce the light intensity that hits the plants, one way or another. Try some high stress training, bend the stems over at 90 degree angles and tie them down that way.

These are you indications of heat stress and you can see the light burns on the leaves. Agreed with mystic, if you can’t adjust the lights, you need to train the plants while you have time

Okay and just based off the look that's what I assumed made the most sense. I actually have LED replacements coming for the HID's (been needing to happen) so hopefully that will help with my issue.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Sounds good and my LED's will hopefully help.

My VPD is still right in the 0.7-0.9 range but the HIDs in such a squatty room has got to be the issue. I appreciate your help

I hear that, one of my grow rooms is in an old mobile home (trailer) which as many of you know, has the standard ceiling height of only 7 feet. To maximize my space I placed my stronger lights up in the "corner" of the ceiling and wall, at a 45 degree angle.

Like this - (excuse my expert paint abilities )

That will give you a little extra space between plants and lights, if you can do that. You can add a couple layers of aluminum foil between the wall/ceiling and light to keep it from heating up the wall/ceiling and potentially starting a fire. Works well for me!

Agreed

I think this is VPD/heat/stresses - hps too close issues
