Good day folks, I hope everyone is well.
Now this thread is not about lighting, but about
Old World Black Magic Malawi style cob curing. Originally, I believe they put the herb in a sheep stomach and buried it, and then took it out some months later and ate the herb . On another forum I'm on there are several fellas from around the world who no longer smoke weed but make cobs and eat it. This fascinated me , so I decided to do more research and try it.

Now my approach was to take some weed, a few days before it's dry enough to smoke, so still pretty damp. Then smoosh into a log form, the more you squish it the better. Then you wrap it in a maize or corn husk , tie it off, and sweat it on a heat mat for a few days. Next you vac seal it and let it cure for a month. This is where I'm at now . I opened up a Deathstar cob, yesterday and aired it out , took a sample slice and sealed it up to age for a few months.

I have not tried it yet, I will give it a go this weekend, but it should be better after it ages. Now some people smoke it, but most eat it and this is what fascinates me. With a pure sativa or sat dom the effects are close to lsd most say the experience is better . With Indicas or indi doms, the power increase but couchlock goes away !

I will update this thread as things progress, I have 2 more cobs going... one Durghanchitral from USC and one Strawberry Bozo

So any of you farmers have any experience with the ways of the cob? Care to share your take, pros/cons, methods ?

I Smoke little of my MJ most is injested either, via tinctures or caps. One question, how is the decarbing occuring? The transition from thca to thc? You'll still get some effect, but not the whole thing unless this "curing" is somehow achieving the decarbing.

Not sure completely sure , but I believe it ferments during the cure, or possibly the heat during the sweat initiates the process .

i'd like to try making and chewing one of these cobs one of these days , like maybe a nice malawi .there are a lot of reputable growers chewing cobs. some of the best smoke i've tried was brick that resembled cobed weed.
