Wondering what are hi and lo parameters for plant growth with regards to water temp and ideal temp to stay @
running top feed buckets w rocks 24/7feed

I keep my res's at 68 or under Anything over that seems to invite bad growth

Hey guys appreciate advice been staying around 65 sounds like I'm good then

What are good nightime air temp for lights out I hear colder better for frost and the purple colors but what is to coldest ,what the lowest I want to set my thermostat for night without hurting growth?

Blazer I wouldn't let the res go over 68
65 is fine.
Let their nite temps drop about 10 degrees from their day temps...
I wouldn't let the room go below 66 degrees
If you want more colors lower the nite temp the last week, but I wouldn't go below 62 degrees.....
Good Luck! :pimp:

68-72 is perfect<<>>if it gets to be 78 you will get pythium:)

so when i do a res change, my water sometimes starts out at like 50 F, and will rise to 65 or so through the 12 hour day. My question is, can you get rid of pythium with constant cold temps?

Low to High 60's, over 68 and Pythium can get ya! The warmer it gets the more Pythium grows and the less O2 your roots have. If you arent running beni bacteria I would suggest H2O2 to keep it sterile and oxygenated.
