Why? I never thought I had to with rain water?
Ok is the rain water you collect off your roof of house , I thought that rain water would be fairly ph neutral I collect rain water myself I tested mine and it was 7.9 to 8.1 a little swing to the getting out of whack scale as I call it tested my tap water 7.8 to 8.1 ..... crumbs , what I’m getting at is you need to know the PH of your water before you use no matter where it comes from . Best regards OD .

Not sure what caused it on your plant but when I get a moment I'll show you a leaf that looks exactly the same on one of my veg plants and I know what caused it on my plant;

I watered with a tapwater pH of 8.9, I forgot just one time to adjust my pH to 6.5 by mistake, not the first time I've done this and might not be the only reason for this but one thing it is not is TMV

Edit: agree with mr. Drop!✌😎

Imo if the plant carries this trait stress can bring it out. There can be many numerous causes. It's usually easy to tell because it will be in a pattern. Often one side of a leaf although it can affect all of the plant in which it will die if this happens but is uncommon to see that. The portion of the lighter leaf is because it cannot photosynthesize

I think the pics we put up were showing just that it’s no big problem mine is in week 8 of flower but I do think it’s from wrong ph just My humble opinion. Od

It was only one leaf of my sour diesel and it happen around week 5 of veg. I imagine it was a fluke. Otherwise this baby is growing like a MF! It’s my first grow and may have potentially ruined my top best buds. We will see I’m only 11 days in flower and have about 5 more feet left to grow. I’m a newb so I didn’t know how much these stretch so quickly! 😱
