There is a great thread on here somewhere about the octabuublers(by @JACKMAYOFFER or @Capulator maybe?) but i think its on a larger scale than you are doing.Im also thinking about adding auto water so ill follow along!

yea I'm very familiar with Jacks thread, i'm trying to do a wayy scaled down version, I dont think I need nearly the power that the pump he uses has lol. It's hard to find accurate information because every system is different with size and plant count. There are mag drive pumps, jet pumps and if you guys ever follow Growmau5 on youtube, he made a video using octobubblers and a DC pump, it looks like the price of the pump jumped up $40 from $60 to $100 now since he made his video lol but looks like a nice simple system very similar to what I'm going for but my system will be about twice the size as his so not sure if that pump will work.

21.33 to 56.88 psi, jacks thread isn't helpful as far as pump size, maybe other members chime in later in the thread about smaller setups I will go re-read that thread. My system isn't the same size as his so I'm looking at cutting costs with my pump but also looking for reliability as I don't like buying twice and I will pay for quality.

https://www.amazon.com/Hallmark-Ind...=UTF8&qid=1498068843&sr=8-8&keywords=jet+pump,
this pump seems decent for sub- 0, good psi, will it work??

Jebao dct 4000 is what I bought for that exact set up, adjustable flow, doesn't over pressurize. Also get an inline pressure regulator and y strainer to save you some headaches.

It's an irrigation part, you can find it on any irrigation site.
Yeah I have 1/2 pvc pipe to my octabubblers.

In his thread jack says his 3/4 grundfos pump does 10 octas. Why you need 9 octabubblers for two 4x8's? There's 8 outlets per one bubbler Jack was running 2 bubblers per bed I think

for some reason I thought I needed 2 drippers per pot but I think 1 is fine after talking with someone who is running a bigger version of what I'm looking for. I think I will use the Jabao DCT 6000 Because it is cheap and uses very little power which is great for my room as I have limited amperage and a 1000w+ pump would suck to have to use. I think I found a timer for $15 that I can set to water for however many seconds I want when I want. That's honestly great because that saves me a ton of money all together from the pump to electronic sprinkler valves and irrigation control panels. Now that I know I need half of the octobubblers I'm not as worried lol. Thanks guys you helped a lot with me making up my mind.

I thought you were doing beds.... Two per pot ain't a bad idea in case one clogs but you would need a really good pump to run 9 octas. They need a minimum psi to ensure all ports are delivering the same volume. That pump seems too good to be true, I don't think 42watts is gonna deliver the psi you need. Sure it's 1585 gph but as soon as back pressure is put on it I bet it drops massively. It's like comparing an air pump that pumps up your air mattress with cigarette lighter power to an air compressor. The mattress pump will blow up your floatie faster but couldn't put air into a car tire. Ya dig?

The beauty of that pump is that it is DC not AC so it is able to use less AC current but that converts over to much higher DC power, if I'm not mistaken, just how many other devices operate on a similar principle.. . Growmau5 seems to be doing well with that pump in his vids. I will buy something nicer if need be but is it truly necessary?? I might just say fuck the octas and build a pvc manifold, maybe even use 1/4" tubing lol octabubblers just seem to be the easiest way to get good distribution as you dont need to plumb in a "loop" like you do for standard dripper manifolds if you want an even watering, a simple line of bubblers with valves on the 1/2" risers is all you need. My thoughts are that I can always build everything and get that pump and just get a more expensive pump if that one takes a shit. I was thinking I can just upgrade over time.

Been scoping these floraflex manifolds too,

they have an assortment of other fittings, valves etc at growershouse.com,not sure how they stack up against the octas.

I've also been a-lookin at those!! They're kinda pricey for the whole system with the quick disconnect at like $30 per manifold with disconnect but are only $15 on their own. I think the jungleboyz use them, maybe not on every room, some still have octas I believe but I swear I've seen them on their instagram.

What psi regulator would I want to get? I thought the jabao pump didn't have super high psi??
