What would cause one branch to die?

All rest of the plant is fine.
I have checked and i can't see any snapped or rotten stem, no spider mites or mould...

Parts of the stem in different spots have bruised where i have used the bud clips but it doesn't seem to effect the growth.

I'm honestly baffled as to why this would happen and should i cut it off? Could it be a disease or pest?

Could be loads of things. Check starts at the base, where it transitions to the problem. Could you post a pic of that spot?

Looks like stem rot, a type of mold. Had this issue in the greenhouse this summer. Once the rot totally encircled that branch it started wilting. I cut off the branch and used a razor knife to cut out all mold and treated with hydrogen peroxide. Stopped the spread and was able to harvest the rest of the plant a couple weeks ago. Worth a shot but if the brown parts in your pics are all mold it looks pretty advanced. Good Luck .

Get it out and away from the rest of the grow.
sterilize any common tools like trimmers and greenwire, soak the training clips in alc.
Good Luck

Definitely root rot that has spread to the stem. Can I ask what you left the lst clips on? You are supposed to remove them after the branch has been trained

I didn't know that you had to remove them?

Clips like that should indeed be removed after a while as it can restrict the branchs growth. Not saying that caused it and a root check is something to do after harvest. Also, is the main stem hard or does it dent a little when pressed?

For the actual branch dead is dead, and dead stuff attracts everything you dont want. If the branch is progressively dying you might want to cut the branch entirely. If there's any sign of it spreading you should chop the whole thing. You seem to be pretty far into flower at least.
