So, I’m thinking I should match the PPFP of the big HLG light to the T 5 lightsThe plants you showed pics of would be doing fine under T5's. Think about that for a minute..
Ha! No, that's not what i was trying to say.. I was just trying to point out that plants veg fine under T5 lighting and if you measured PPFD, it isn't high at all. Just stick to the values earlier in the thread and you should be good. Just read your plants. So, I’m thinking I should match the PPFP of the big HLG light to the T 5 lights
Was that the correct thought ???
Thanks
I've been doing the same thing from my veg room under t5's and then into the flower room under my 1000w hps through the day and back under t5's for the night...With small plants you can see the difference from plants that went under the hps and those that didn't in 1 day...the hps lit plants are slightly larger than those I don't move....After 2 weeks of t5 I throw them under 1000watt led at 54 inches for 1 hour and supplement the other hours with 5
t5 and everyday lower light 4 inches and extend 1 hour untill about day 4 and leave lights at 36inches and unless they are stressing I'll keep extending by 1 hour but by day 4 they are adapted. The younger they will adapted faster with being reasonable but vegg times are much shorter
When I was at Saint Mike's College up in Burlington Vermont I had an apartment and I used a heat my plants believe it or not I would I would keep the cool tubes to buy to 600 watt cool tubes and I'd had four in inline fans sucking the heat out and I have that heat feeding my seedlings I mean I had 30 ft ducting but it got her done, my gawd no more gojgle mic instead of typing ....that post was like trying to understand me when I'm tripping...almost Impossible lmaoThat’s going to be difficult logistically. The T5’s are in the spare bedroom, but the HLG’s are out in a room in my workshop/ garage. It’s very cold here and I think that would be bad for them back and forth.
Maybe next grow when it’s milder
Thanks
Sorry about the late response but I have just seen your message. The co2 is something I’ve never used to be honest. The canopy temperature is within the range that you have said it is probably been a bit less more of a 80/84 ish less now they are in their eighth week and the lights are on 80% room temperature is a 78 degrees light on and off it’s 72 is a bit more of a drop than i want but the plants are growing fine. The humidity is between 50/60 in my 4x4ft and the 2x4ft is more of the 60/70 slightly lower temperature is probably the fact the 2x4ft has not got any heating in the garden but the plants are growing and looking healthy The Fox tailing has been better since it has been growing in the level of light i think it is anyway. When you look at your plants all the time you will sometimes get a little i don’t know how to put it really complacent i don’t think is the right word for it. Sometimes you need another pair of eyesWould you ever consider exhale bags or some form of supplemental co2. Foxtailing can be due to stress of heat and Intensity of the light the plant can only take so much ppfd and canopy shouldn't get hotter than 85-86 but could push maybe 87-88 with co2. But Foxtailing might just be a phenotype trait.
I don't personally use supplemental co2 only because I dont have a closed system and I have control over the environment so doesn't fluctuate much but I might have 2 extra tents 2× 3by3 and I might connect the ducting and add a exhale bag I one or both small tents so the heating from the tents will not only heat the room so no need for baseboard heating and the co2 that goes from one 2 the next wtv excess will end up in the 3rd so might only be that situation ill useSorry about the late response but I have just seen your message. Sometimes you need another pair of eyesor more to give you another opinion on the plants. I’m a good listener and I think i can work out what to listen to and what not to. (Hopefully lol ) Has been something that I have had to a few different plants in the past and it is like you said it is something natural for some strains that they will foxtail the lowest bud is the same way special kush was one like that. The only thing that is a concern for the co2 bags your taking about is the tent isn’t that sealed and the co2 might not be staying in the garden for long enough to be any use i don’t know? If it’s going to be a help with the garden and the plants are benefiting from it. I will try it for sure. Is it something you do ? Anyway thanks for your help and I’ll hopefully be talking with you soon peace
