I live on the western slope and I am not exactly sure when it will be safe to put my plants in the ground in my greenhouse. I currently have them in 7 gallon pots and I put them outside in the morning and bring them inside at night. The temperatures have been dropping below 40 degrees recently and I was wondering when it should be safe to transplant them. This is my first grow and I appreciate all the help I can get!!!

I am in CO and from my experience with greenhouse grows I feel safe with my plants in 40 degree (in the greenhouse) temps or above....even 35 but that's a bit risky. The plants in my GH can take 32 degrees but only for a few hours. There are many nights I am out checking night time temps just to keep them safe. I always have two temp gauges hanging in my GH as well.

Since it's your first grow it's best to monitor outside temps with temps inside your GH as many factors will come into play (type of GH coverings, humidity, dewpoint, winds, etc). Being on the western slope you have plenty of grow season time so don't rush getting them out too early, especially if they are young plants. And in Fall you'll have be super careful of early frosts and severe cold spells where you could lose the whole sha-bang in one night.

Like Caveman says it's best to read up on all the info that is here on the Farm, tons of good stuff to help you along.

Getting about 14 hours of viable day light....If your under light for 18 to 20 hours will be an issue if you reduce light from my experience....
