growing in fox farms ocean forest from seed. Temps are 73-79 humidity 54-65%. in 5 days they’ll be one month old in these 18oz solos. Going to eventually transplant into 1 gallon fabric pots for flower. Need to limit size of plants and have not started giving nutrients yet because fox farms usually has enough for the first month at least. Any advice on when to add nutes or when to start flower if I’m only growing in 1 gallon fabrics as their final pot. I have the three main fox farm nutes (grow big etc). they’re almost all different strains and some are auto flowers but most are regulars not even sure which ones to be honest. Ignore the names on them they were named by my roommates haha

I would anytime, going from solos to 1 gal sounds perfect. If you haven't fed yet you probably could they probly wont need too much but I have no experience with how much fert is fox farms... but if you transplant them you will add more soil anf there will be more nutes in that soil so maybe not feed and wait one more cycle or two? Anyways they look healthy and good to see adolf keeping an eye on the genetics haha

For photoperiods I transplant to a 1 gal. pot when the plants diameter spans over the edges of the solo cup. Then when the plant spans over the 1 gal pot I transplant it again to a 5 gal fabric pot. I believe I read that here, tried it and it seemed to work better so it is now my common practice.

I transplanted these two into there home pots, #7 nursery pots at 14 days / 2 weeks from breaking soil. I wouldn't even bother growing if all they were going to be in is 1 gal. pots.

Now would be a good time to transplant up......I go solo/1 gal/3 gal to 5 gal if I veg longer than 2 months if less than 2 months I finish in 3 gal. I find 3 gallon perfect for water feed in soil....It takes 1 gallon to feed or water with run off, they dry in 3-4 days so they stay on a weekly feed schedule. and they're big enough to support larger plants.

The day after I posted this they started showing some deficiencies lol so I repotted them today in some more fox farms. The roots were a little underdeveloped but hoping the deficiency signs go away

There are a thousand ways to grow, so advice will vary. From starter plugs through solos and the whole way up to final pots, I transplant when I can no longer maintain at least three dry days between waterings without droop. That also insures that my plants will always be wider than the pots they're in. I feed when my run-off ppms fall below 1000. I flip to flower when my canopy reaches 50% of my flowering floor space. (I'm growing photoperiods in soil with synthetic nutes.)
