When should I use fertilizer?

Hi, everyone new here and had a question about using fertilizer? I have my single plant in a 3.6G pot and its on day 18 and was wondering when I should top dress? I heard that it takes a little while for the nutrients to get down to the roots. I was going to use Flower Girl Bud and Bloom. Thanks for any advice.

Plant - Northern Light Auto
Lighting - King Plus 600watt LED
Soil - Fox Farm Ocean Forest - Nothing extra added in
Container - 3.6 gallon
Grow Area - Basement
Temps - 76
Humidity - 59
Water - Distilled
PH - 7.0

Start to fertilize at half strength when the cotyledons start to turn yellow and or die off.

Ok, I got another question lol. It's day 22 and my cotyledons are yellowing and dyeing off but I don't have any veg fertilizer just the Flower Girl Bud and Bloom can I use that this late in veg growth or maybe I could use some extra soil? I'll take some pics. Thanks again.
